It's still mostly about coaching. You can tell who has their players' attention. MSU's defense anyone? tOSU? Hell, Minnesota.

And then there's Bo Pelini. And Purdump. Huge differences.

~ Leaders' OSU and WIS are the cream of an otherwise crappy crop (PSU squeaks into bowl consideration despite losing 60% of their conf games)...
~ Legends' MSU, despite it's record, is lightly regarded (perhaps justifiably so)...but is joined in bowl consideration by 4 other division teams (only NW -go figger that shit- will not be bowl eligible this year.)

I'm annoyed that MSU and Wisconsin don't play this year. Very well matched teams I think (both top 10 defenses, nod to yours of course but same to our offense). We both lost* a non-conference game and the only other difference in record is that we've played OSU. I don't think there's a B1G team outside of OSU, MSU and Wisconsin that is capable of beating one of those 3 this season. It's 2010 all over again, but with a CCG.

Agree re: annoyance. Sparty and Bucky have been well matched for the past five years. (I think the first B1GCG was one of the best cfb games in history.)
