I'm feeling this way too. I don't think Kassian should be afforded any benefit of the doubt but this really wreaks of piling on to save face for a move you shouldn't have made to begin with.
...what am I missing here? He's on a short leash, this is seen as his umpteenth wake up call, he's a distraction. For getting into a car accident in which he was a passenger?
Its no secret
Not good, but not really in the realm of "this guy's fucked". Doubt he was the only NHLer getting one last rip in on the final weekend of camp with no games for 4 days.what got my attention right away (before the substance abuse stuff came out)
was it was 6am on a Sunday morning. That's not on your way to church, that's a REALLY fucking late Saturday night, in the middle of training camp.
not good.
Okay, OKAY NHL. LET US TALK.
Kassian being stage 1 substance abuse program, and that being quiet, is absolutely okay. Him being suspended without pay because that's how the rule is written, is absolutely okay. But what you've just showed me here is that a guy can be suspended without being arrested for anything. I WONDER IF THERE'S ANOTHER CASE WHERE SUCH A THING SHOULD APPLY.
I see where you're going with this. The offender's name rhymes with Pane? Or insane in the membrane?
How was that fucker not at at least stage 1 with his history?

Re Kassian, Benning said he was in stage one of the #NHL substance abuse program "before I got here". #canucks
