Clauido did a good job, but he should have not started the 5th.

After seeing him a couple times, guys can begin to time the soft stuff he throws. Would have been better to just let him get the 4 innings and cal it a day. Thats not hindsight just the best recipe for success with a guy like Claudio who was at about his pitch limit without being a bit more stretched out anyway

The hitting coach sucks. The pitching coach sucks. Bannister can't seem to make good decisions. Our pitchers are way too careful, they nibble way too much which means we walk a shitload of guys, our hitters don't have a sound approach. Basically, we have a team that strikes out a lot on offense, the pitching staff walks too many guys, the coaches and managers are incompetent, lackadaisical base running and defense, a bullpen that has a propensity for the big choke, and the bats always go silent after the 5th inning ( this game was an exception).

JD needs to trade Lucroy for prospects..... the guy is still highly regarded. I mean he played for the US national team. Consider trading Darvish if he doesn't seem interested in re-upping. Why not shop Cole?

Whatever this team is doing right now.... it sucks and I think they have plenty of talent, but for some reason it's not resulting in wins.

I'm trying not to overreact here, but if they get swept. I would definitely start coming up with some plans for the trade deadline. We need to try and copy what the Yankees did last year.

I think they need to shop Yu, Cole, Lucroy, Beltre, Elvis, Choo...some of that should bring a haul, a couple we'll take a bag of beans and pay part of their salary just to see them go

We're not getting much for Hamels without eating some money, we're not getting squat for Choo, and I'm thinking of having you banned for suggesting we shop beltre. Probably wouldn't get a lot for him either anyways.

It won't hurt to shop them. I would have shopped Beltre in 20014 when we could have gotten something very nice for him, but that is a whole different discussion. We would have to include some money with Cole, but if that is the case then so be it. We would have to include a ton of money at this point for Choo, but if we could get a GM dumb enough to bite then take the plunge. If we trade Yu I would still like to see us go after him in the offseason.
