Accuweather forecast for Foxboro for January 18th is a high of 29 and a low of 15. Skies are supposed to be somewhat cloudy. Winds will be around 17 mph making the wind chill about 20 about game time. No snow is forecast. If the Broncos come east, they will not have to contend with anything other than a crispy cold day.

17 mph winds could be issue in passing and kicking game though BK. That's a pretty stiff breeze esp with 20 or so degrees to boot.

To you as well.

I am really looking forward to these wild card games, actually. I can't wait to see who the Broncos are going to play next week. I am also morbidly curious about this Arizona @ Carolina game. I don't know why, but something about a 7-8-1 playoff team fascinates me.

I think Carolina, because of Arizona QB and Rb problems, will move on and give Seattle all they handle and possibly upset the Hawks at home. Both teams are playing well as of late and maybe, just maybe, Panthers can win turnover battle and 12th man issue a get a victory. Like you mentioned, a team that many don't figure to get far can have that " nothing to lose" attitude and be very dangerous indeed.

Of course, all this could be irrelevant because we are assuming the Patriots will host the AFCCG. They have to beat someone to get there, though. The Bronco just need to handle their business and worry about what's under their control. I'm not the least bit worried about the weather in New England that weekend when there is so much still at play between now and then.

I also picked the Panthers to beat the Cardinals, and I also believe with the way their defense is playing they can go into Seattle and at least make the Hawks fans need to go home and change their shorts. It is always hard to pick against the Seahawks in Seattle, but I am not surprised by any outcome and believe any team in the NFC playoff slate is capable of going up there and winning. Even the Panthers.

It really is a shame the Cardinals finally get out to a fairly dominant start this season only to have one of the most ridiculously injury plagued seasons in recent memory. I give them a lot of credit for making it a respectable season, regardless of the outcome this weekend. Incidentally, 11-5 is the best they've ever been and just the third time they've reached 10 or 10+ wins since relocating from St. Louis. It's impossible to truly know, but one has to believe with Carson Palmer they may have been able to eek out another 1 or 2 wins.

I think with Carson Palmer Cards would have home field thruout and have much better odds to win SB than they have at this point. Losing Ellington hurts them as well. People haven't watched enough or remember how well Palmer was playing before injury apparently as well.

Weren't our Broncos the first team to face the Stanton-led Cardinals? I recall he had a lousy game, and then the Broncos knocked him out. His backup completed only one pass, but it was a long one that went for a TD.

Speaking of possible Denver opponent next wknd. I'd rather not see Steelers. To me they pose the most threat over Cincy or Colts. Big Ben, Antonio and Bryant,Bell ( have to assume he won't play this wknd and be ready to go if in a they get win),Miller and a D that's playing much better lately. I think Denver will have Cincy's # this time and Colts with no running game, forcing them to be one dimensional, will spell doom for Luck and Colts. Pitt on the other hand has more weapons and a Qb that is hard to bring down as well. I better add before my bud IKF gets me again.......ya never know in the post season and that's a fact Jack:)

Yes sir. Stanton only had 118 yrs passing and after he went out, Logan came in and had like 80 yrs passing and the td was a long one in a game that Denver had big lead already with game out of reach. I think Denver won something like 40ish to 20 . Palmer was huge loss and coach Arians should end up "coach of the year" IMO

The Steelers are definitely the most complete team of the three possible opponents next weekend, and I believe they're the group we're going to see. With that said, I think the Ravens are capable of going into Pittsburgh and knocking them off. It's a hard game to predict, really.

Either way, I think the Broncos defense will be licking its chops at the thought of playing the Steelers. They are a good offense, but they've had a few games where they've just been bad. Mind boggling bad.

It's hard to know what to expect, really. That's why I just try to sit back and enjoy the ride. By Saturday night we'll know if we get the Steelers or if we'll have to await the winner of the Indy/Cincy game. Either way, I think this time of year is really exciting.

If you say " sit back and enjoy the ride " one more time I'm going to flatten all your tires and punch myself in the face.

If you're going to come out to the east coast from Redding just to flatten my tires and punch me in the face, you can at least stay through the weekend and we'll have a couple beers and watch the games together.

PS: I need to get new tires for my car anyway. I keep putting it off.:L

PSS: I just re-read and you said "punch myself in the face." Sorry. Tell you what, if you make the plane trip, I'll let you punch me in the face. But you're buying the first round!

Lol! Ya had me bummed when I read first post but glad you re-read and saw the humor. Have no doubt we'd have good laugh along with some good cold ones if that ever happened. Most guys on here would make for a real fun wknd of football, beer, wings and just chilling with them and families. Of course their would be sarcasm and " normal" BS from all!. Seriously though, if I ever won the lottery or had opportunity, I'd try and make it happen. It feels like family for a lot of us I think on here in some respect, and I believe and it would no doubt gain momentum if ( in a perfect world) it actually came to be. It's a no Brainer... theirs just to many know it all, smart ass, sarcastic, beer/pizza lovin, family oriented and live for the day Yahoo's like us for it not to be a kick, right?. Looking forward to throwing more of my completely irresponsible, clueless observations and lame analogies in 2015 my friend:suds:

Love being gone for work a couple of days and coming back to this type of conversation! Definitely some day would love to get a beer with each of you on here. Anyway for this upcoming weekend it will be fun to just sit back and enjoy getting to watch all these games not having to worry about whether the Broncos get to move forward or not. I agree with most of you on here that Pitt is probably the team that will give us the biggest challenge but at the same time it does seem we have only focused on the offensive side of the ball with them. Defensively this might be one of the worst Steelers defenses in a long long time. I guess with the Steelers I look at them and their strength at least passing wise is with the receivers and that is where we have been our strongest on defense is that of stopping receivers. With Bell hobbled (and he won't be 100% come next week with a hyperextended knee) I just really like our chances. Really against any of the 3 teams that can come I like our chances.

Careful, CD. Say that again and Randy is going to slash your tires and tp your house, and probably leave a sack of flaming Raiders (dog shit) on your front stoop. :yahoo:

Haha oops. More for me it will be enjoying this weekend of Wild Card games and then next weekend being the nervous wreck. I will enjoy the Bronco game but I think it will be another long off season like this last one if we don't win at least this first game. I can't imagine what our board will look like if we lose the Divisional Round.

Lol! That is some funny shit INF:lol:. Should be heck of a wknd for sure. I've been paying close attention to the bowl games and players already in anticipation of draft once SB is over. NFL Network has great coverage so it helps fill that God awful gap till draft day in April I believe. It does help even more when your team brought home the Lombardi also. Ps. Anybody interested in the " playoff challenge" thru NFL .com for some fun board bragging rights and chance at SB 50 tickets, join the " Rich Eison Podcast" group. It's free and fun and you just might get lucky and steal those tickets from yours truly. You can even " sit back and enjoy the ride" if in ya want too with IKF and CD! :suds:

Well, at halftime it's Ravens 10, Steelers 9 and this game is everything we expected it to be. Hard-hitting and chippy; and for what it's worth, I think both of these teams would be capable of giving the Broncos fits in a potential matchup. If the Broncos want to get back to the Super Bowl it is not going to be easy.

I also like the idea of Baltimore going to NE. They are one of the few teams that seem to give Brady fits. If nothing else they are a very hard hitting defense that should soften the Patriots up a bit.
