I think Padgett told him to foul on the floor so he would get 2 shots, but the kid fouled him in the act.

I believe it was NC State against Clemson in the late 80s during the ACC tourney. That is the only time I can remember seeing that

Virginia is 7-1 against Louisville since Louisville joined the ACC.

Hilarious since Louisville fans along with their friends in Syracuse were the most vocal about the Big East schools taking over ACC hoops. Hasn't quite worked out that way.

Just watched the replay of the game. Don't understand why you foul at that point. The player should've just backed off, even if the coach had called for him to foul. If Jerome had made the shot, you still are up by one with very minimal time left (if any) and have the game won.
And with that buzzer beater, Hunter keeps on impressing me more and more with each game.

This is the second game I can remember where the announcers said the game was over (like not over for all intents and purposes but actually over) and the other team came back to win.

Northern Iowa-Texas A&M was the other.
