Hitman Hart
College Basketball's #1 Venue
Pretty terrible timing.
Nice pick up for ND:
So when do we start calling for Swofford's head? There's been a lot of scandals at ACC schools under his watch and he's been a pretty weak disciplinarian.
Not to mention, the failed ACC football championship games in Florida, as well as putting the historical crown jewel event of the ACC, the men's basketball tournament, in locations such as Tampa Bay..
Not to mention being a huge pussy moving the football came out of NC.
Cause he's a bitch.
lol, I dislike him more for putting the ACC Tournament in Brooklyn for two straight years. Barclays wasn't the best experience in the world.
Trying to rip off the Big East's MSG feel.
Nah. I just think Swofford is trying to get a feel of what works and what doesn't. DC was a great host, Brooklyn wasn't. It shouldn't haven taken an actual experiment to realize that Brooklyn wasn't an ideal host for the ACC Tournament, though. It also wouldn't surprise me if Brooklyn is a part of the next rotation, either.
Swofford felt compelled to respond to criticism of the tournament being in Brooklyn last year, by stating "not everyone likes BBQ, some people like Broadway too"
If you don't think the MSG factor wasn't part of it, i got a bridge in brooklyn to sell you.
Brooklyn isn't Manhattan and the Barclays Center isn't MSG. If they thought they could re-capture the environment at MSG, then they were very naive. Its all about the N.Y. market, really has nothing to do with MSG. They'd love to have MSG if they could get it, but they aren't going to. MSG and the Big East are going to continue their relationship for many years.
They tried to get MSG a few years ago didn't they?
The Big Ten is playing their tournament in MSG in a few years. However, they plan on playing it a week before championship week, so there isn't any interference with the Big East. I think that is face palm worthy. Apparently, the Big Ten didn't have a good showing in DC this past year.
