Told you the passing game(more like the RECEIVING game)was a problem anyway. Dwayne Bowe has proven to be nothing but a disappointment year after year. So anything would help...

Passing game itself looks better each week, but the O-line is a concern against a stout passrush.

Actually to be fair he said he based his post on a "feeling" before he threw out his weak insult...

Still, I have nothing against most of the 'Hawks fans I've seen here as I've previously posted. They seem like pretty decent guys...[/QUOTE]

As a Seahawk fan I thank you for the kind words. I think it's important to remember that no one poster or even several posters represent an entire board Despite breaker being a 49er fan, I think the 49er board is fantastic. They have some really great posters there, and they have some haters. I think you got to let each poster represent himself and not a entire board. Breaker is my case in point.

I actually agree with this. They've beat various cake teams... have had quite possibly the easiest schedule in the NFL to date... I wouldn't be surprised to see them 11-5 or so and one and done in the playoffs.

Just a hunch. As a fan of an NFC Team I could really care less and would be THRILLED to see the Hawks face the Chiefs (compared to Broncos/Colts/Pats) in the SBOWL if we got there.

I agree with this.

Only reason I kind of give our o-line a pass though is that they're YOUNG. IMO they're eventually going to put the pieces together and be something special. Now whether that's this season or next we'll see. Bowe simply HAS no excuse. He's played for way too long for some of the plays I have...or rather, haven't seen him make...

Saw a stat last night that no team in the NFL, MLB, NHL, or NBA has ever had the worst record one year and started 8-0 the next year. Of all sports for that to happen you'd have to think the NFL is the least probable, since 8 games represent half a season. Even bad teams in MLB can win 8 straight, but half a season? Screw the schedule, for a 2-14 team to turn it around like that...just amazing.
Many of the 2-14 teams in the NFL either got there by design or simply gave up early in the season. This years Jags and Bucs are among the few teams I have seen that truly are as bad as their record would suggest. A sudden turn around is not so surprising when you take that into consideration. The NFL desperately needs a lottery system like some other major league sports.

Well, this could be right. 10-6 or 11-5 and one and done in the play-offs but who knows for sure. I think after 2-14, most Chiefs fans at the start of the year would have been thrilled. Having said that, they do have a very good defense and a solid running game and some weapons. They have played to the competition and you can call it being lucky or whatever but whether you win in a blow-out or by less than a TD, it is still a win so who the fuck cares. Fwiw, Denver's schedule hasn't been much tougher and they lost to the one honest contender so what does that tell ya. It tells ya nothing. Teams can win a bunch and they can lose at any given time in this league. I give the Chiefs and Andy Reed credit for doing what they are doing. They might not do much in the play-offs but it will be a good season nonetheless. I really didn't think they were as bad as 2-14 last year either but in the NFL, almost anything is possible on any given week or any year.

The Jags...I would agree, but Tampa has players...good players, just the wrong coach, and now starting imo a prospect @ QB, more suited for a backup role. I could see them with some minor changes (like KC) being a 10-6 type team next year.

Lottery...uhmmm. idk, if your objective is to prevent tanking then I would say no because NBA teams tank tank too.

I would agree that the Chiefs last year were not near as bad as their record would suggest. They did have 5 or 6 pro bowlers. They simply had the worst QB and worst HC in recent memory. You could even argue that Norv might be a better HC than Romeo. Still though, nobody thought they'd be 8-0. If you look at the schedule maybe it's a little less surprising, but most "experts" were predicting 7-9 wins at most.

Agree on the lottery. What the Colts did to get Luck should've gotten more notice from owners than it did.

Chiefs with ZERO wins against teams with a record about .500.

Best win is over 4-4 Dallas

And we saw this with the last "good" chiefs team. I agree, a correction is coming. They wont finish 10-6, but they definitel have two losses to denver on the horizon along with a bills loss this week. I think they finish 11-5 or 12-4 and lose their first playoff game. There are alot of teams currentl out there with records better than what their team is. I also think the lions arent as good as their record.

Lol, Lotta hate for my Chiefs, I see...

It isn't like THEY created the schedule, fellas...

I also agree with this, they beat the teams they had to. There are many teams in the NFL that cant win the games they should win, the chiefs are taking care of business like they should and deserve credit for that but that doesnt mean they will be able to compete with the broncos, patriots, saints and packers. I just dont see it.

There is no question in my mind whatsoever that the colts absolutely, shamefully tanked the season. I'm stunned that no other owners raised a stink with it being so obvious. With the chiefs, I think it was a little bit of both. I think when they realized that the best they might do wouldnt be good enough, I think they decided to work for the pick. For all the Smith > Cassell talk, I would like to see what becomes of Smith when they are down by 2 or 3 touchdowns sometime. Does he just let the game go and continue to be his game managing self ?? or turn into Cassell 2.0 and go out of his comfort zone to try to force something to happen ?? . This really is the only difference between the two, Cassell simply went out on a limb in an effort to try to make something good happen.

I was one game off. The game I didn't see the Chiefs winning was gat #9 @Buf. The Bills outgained the Chiefs 470 to 210 that game but still managed to lose because of two defensive tds for KC including a 100 yd pick. But like I said previously in this thread, I can see the Chiefs doing some damage in the playoffs. I think they will win in Indy and give Denver all they can handle a week later
