The Chiefs have the 2nd best point differential in the NFL at + 94 (unless Seattle beats STL by 20 +)

Seems to me that people are just piling shit on the Chiefs for absolutely no good reason at all. they have won all 8 of their games because they controlled the game... not luck. The Chiefs have "won" 28 of 32 quarters. To imply that they are "barely" beating competition is absolutely ridiculous. I guess Seattle is mediocre since they beat SF (AT HOME GASP) and Kaep so fucking horrible. I guess SF is mediocre too since their only victory against a team over .500 is GB ( AT HOME GASP) in Week 1.

To make a thread saying the "The 8-0 Chiefs will finish 10-6" is obnoxious given the lack of evidence given in this thread.

A 10-6 team is still a very good team and shouldn't be anything to scoff at. The only bad thing for the Chiefs is that they will be branded as a team that fell apart in the second half of the season and many will write them off. It will be dangerous if the players on the team buy into that themselves.

I can see a 10-6 Chiefs team still being very dangerous in the playoffs

Oh, I'll be the first guy to admit they're playing above expectations this season, ESPECIALLY coming off the season they had the previous year. But I also don't see some sort of cosmic collapse , either. I think at worst they finish with 11 or 12 wins. Obviously the biggest diiference IMO has been coaching and QB. Not saying that Alex Smith is a world beater by any stretch, but he does know how to win. In fact I believe his record as a starter is now 29-5-1(sorry, going off the top of my head). Certainly there's some weaknesses with this team, but nothing I believe that'll put them in the second half tail spin some of you are suggesting...

The Broncos haven't beaten any team over 500 either. Most likely they will finish 9-7.

See I can do this too!

So on the flip side, does this mean the jags really aren't that bad? They have just been victims of a really tough schedule (Seahawks, niners, Broncos, Chiefs, Colts, Chargers) or does this only work one way?

1st loss of the Season is next week against the Bills.

I'm calling it right now.

I'm actually with you on this one. I see them losing 4-5 games. Props to them for still being undefeated though.

Hell yeah, that is basically what the OP is advocating even if he doesn't realize it...

Chiefs can only play the teams on their schedule, and I do think the 2nd half will be tougher, but I also think they'll win the division at about 12-4.

As long as we're making predictions based on very little, here's one:

After watching the powerhouse Jags knock Manning around, as well as the Colts, Manning doesn't make it through 2 games against the Chiefs healthy with his patchwork O-line. He may not be out for the year, but he'll miss playing time.

You really really don't like the Broncos don't you Boltfan72...It seems like every chance you get you love to make predictions about the Broncos failure. Just to give you a hint about that patchwork OL. All of the starters will be fully healed and cleared to play after the Bye week except obviously Clady. So 4 of the 5 starters who were predicted at the beginning of the year will be the actual players on the field.

Defensively they should have all of the starters finally on the field within a week or two after the Bye week depending on Champ and his return date.

Also I don't think 12-4 wins this division. 13 wins or more is going to be needed. If 12-4 wins the division you are predicting the Broncos and the Chiefs to both go 4-4 the rest of the way. I'm sorry that just isn't happening to both of them.

Losing Ryan Clady for the year was HUGE IMO. But the best teams can work around injuries, so we'll see if the Donks qualify...

I will agree with you on one point. Manning goes and they're done. Not that it takes a genius to come up with that conclusion...

The Browns have one of, if not the best, O-lines in the league... Add in a semi mobile QB and the sacks become difficult to come by... Still on pace for the sack record set by the '84 Bears.

Outstanding DEF, solid running game, limited passing game (imo b/c no playmaker @ TE).

I'm thinking 11-5...my loses...DEN x 2, @ SD, @OAK, @WAS.

That so called best OL has given up the 4th most sacks of the season with 28 already. I wouldn't say they are great by any means. They aren't as bad as 4th worst but they are not even close to top of the league either.

I would attribute a great deal of that to Weeden who is horrible. There is a reason he shouldn't start again. Ill have to admit though I was not expecting that number at all with Thomas and crew on that O-line. I'll have to look into this more as I am rather skeptical the sack number is reflective of the ability.
