Look at their games played, and their games remaining. They only have 3 more home games, and those home games are against the Chargers, Broncos, and Colts. I do not see an easy win on the road either. Their best chance at picking up wins would be in Buffalo, Washington, and Oakland. And they should be able to win at least one of those games, but they're in for a rough couple of months.

The saving grace is that they have a HUGE cushion for that #5 seed

I actually agree with this. They've beat various cake teams... have had quite possibly the easiest schedule in the NFL to date... I wouldn't be surprised to see them 11-5 or so and one and done in the playoffs.

Just a hunch. As a fan of an NFC Team I could really care less and would be THRILLED to see the Hawks face the Chiefs (compared to Broncos/Colts/Pats) in the SBOWL if we got there.

I agree with this. The Chiefs can only play who's on their schedule and each team is an NFL team capable of winning any given game. KC has done a good job of winning the games they should win and what else can you ask for?

But they're NOT beating up on bad teams. They're barely getting by the bad teams. It would be one thing if they were blowing out bad teams. Great teams usually beat bad teams easily. But the Chiefs are playing very close games against bad teams, even at home. That tells me the 8-0 record is a product of a weak schedule. The Chiefs are a fraud, and deep down Chiefs fans KNOW IT. A 10-6 team is still a very good team and shouldn't be anything to scoff at. The only bad thing for the Chiefs is that they will be branded as a team that fell apart in the second half of the season and many will write them off. It will be dangerous if the players on the team buy into that themselves.
