Sorry dude, you are wrong on all three. Avila was drafted in the Second Round in 2023, the other two were drafted in the Third Round after 2017.

Also, when your scouting department is getting poached almost as much as your coaches every year, it is tough to remain consistent on the scouting front.

Not using it as an excuse, but it is reality for our Rams.
Oh I agree and we can see the after effects of the loss of Gladstone from us to the Jags. The Jags are having a good draft because of it.

I said they were drafted 3rd round or sooner.

Can’t draft in the 1st when you don’t have a 1st round pick for 8 years

Yea I read that but ya missed the cut-off time of 2017! Yea, I saw "since 2017"! So I get it you were adding to the trivial point that the Rams just struggle mightily when they try to take a good O-lineman on or before Round Three. It can't be that hard but these two just seem to find a way to eff it all up when it comes to O-lineman.

They even missed on Milum who dominated the Senior Bowl this year. Gladstone orchestrated a trade and snatched him right on up the pick before the Rams took Stewart.

I agree Retro

They have a bad track record with OL.

Maybe that’s why they feel it’s better to address it in FA like Dotson, or UDFA.

I’d rather they draft what they are good at and address other needs in FA or trades, then to keep wasting picks on guys they don’t know how to evaluate.

And the only real OL need is Havenstein’s eventual replacement, and that doesn’t have to happen this draft. The other positions have been address recently with Dotson, Avila, Limmer, etc.

Just my 2 cents.

Nothing Rams could do about that.

They don’t have the ammo to do trades lacking a 5th rounder and having a bunch of 6th rounders ( which will work for tomorrow, but not in the 3rd ).

Yea, you are correct but I am of the Don Klosterman school of drafting and that being you always take the BPA no matter how stacked you are.

Well we shall see what shenanigans happen tomorrow. There are still quite a few ILBs still left like Kiser, King, Bassa, and Stutsman.

But if they don’t know how to properly evaluate certain positions, how are they to know those guys are BPA?

Also, who says those players are BPA? A bunch of mock draft guys, some sports analysts?

Are we really going to draft based on how Kiper ranks the players? Because I sure the hell wouldn’t. The guy’s been more wrong than right. I don’t even know how he still has a job.

Remember Mayock? Was the Kiper equivalent on the other network. Played himself into a job in the NFL. Turns out, he didn’t know crap about evaluating talent.

You are right. There are probably a handful of people in the NFL that can evaluate talent the old-fashioned way and many of those dudes are retired. So it is back to bullshit-against-a-wall approach and see what sticks. What many do today is watch tape and that is it. well shit that ain't gonna cut it.

I have to say, while I didn't expect the pick of Stewart, I don't hate it. You can never have enough guys who can pressure the QB and he can definitely do that!!! We will be able to rotate pass rushers and keep them fresh.
