Is anyone else tired of hearing about Staffords contract every damn offseason? He made a deal, why do we have to renegotiate constantly with this guy?

Also want to add, this is another thing that made Tom Brady so amazing. He never cared about being the number 1 paid QB, he wanted to win... So we should give up 25% of our open cap space because he wants more money? That kinda hamstrings us bringing in as many quality free agents to make the team better.

Precisely LTRF. That is one of the many reasons other teams don't want this guy. The ShitferBrains Twins should send this guy to the Geeants for the Number 3 overall pick, a Second Rounder, and a Fifth rounder and then get on with the draft. But they ain't going to do it.

Colin Cowherd is pushing this idea of trading Stafford to the Geeants for the 3rd overall pick and a 3rd or 4th Rounder. The Rams would then like to trade that 3rd overall pick to move down a couple of slots and pick-up more picks like a 2nd, 3rd, and a 5th. Then Cowherd is suggesting that the Rams sign Aaron Rodgers for one year. That makes little sense. Just go with Garappolo for another year and pick-up a boat load of very good players in the draft.

I'm on the fence here... Most QBs take 25% of the cap space as it is the most important position. Stafford doesn't have much guaranteed money left on his deal. I believe the 2025 ticket is 4 mil, which means they could technically cut him and that's all he would get, so him having to re work the deal to get more guaranteed money is something that is okay with me. As long as the re work is fair and doesn't provide a significant uptick in pay, there is no reason why this can't be done given the fact that he can still play at a high level for another year or so.

Maybe.

funny thing about that article as it talks about heights and weights, but neither is needed to be an elite corner. Revis was 5'10 and was locking WRs down. Witherspoon is 6-2 but his play is so inconsistent, 1 game he's scorched toast then the next a game sealing play. Time to invest in the position with a pick higher than 4th.

From what I've read, he's scheduled to make 31mil, which is 15th in the NFL for QB's and that he wants to be paid like one of the top guys(meaning 50 mil or more)... No thanks. He was sacked among the least in the NFL last year, meaning our line did it's job and that's a big reason why he played well. He's definitely taken a step back as far as his deep throws, rarely hitting a WR in stride. In fact, many of his non deep throws didn't hit our receivers in stride either.

Same for Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is even older at 41 years of age. The Rams should take the Geeants offer (if indeed they offered picks for Stafford) and go with McCord and say Garappolo for a year. Or turn around and sign Darnold for a year. Otherwise, Stafford and his defacto agent wife are going to bulk and drag-out negoitations into training camp like last year.

The ShitferBrains Twins need to pull the trigger on this one. They had no problem moving E. Jones on a short notice and apparently they don't have that problem with Kupp. Time to cut ties with the aging stars of old.

Or the Rams could trade back with the Geeants and pick-up a 2nd rounder and another 3rd Rounder as outlined in this article. I really like these proposed scenarios because the Rams would get a really good CB, a decent TE, one of the Iowa State WRs, Higgins, and very good OT. That would work for sure. Then, they could move along in the 3rd Round with two more picks to pick-up McCord and another DT or a really good ILB.

I like the Viking trade scenario better as I don’t see McVay changing his offense to accommodate a mobile QB.

Plus, Richardson is a big risk to take on.

Getting a potential 1st next year to pair with their own in a stronger QB class makes the most sense.

Richardson is definitely a risk, but he has a ton of talent. Plus, with McVay's coaching, a top WR/TE in the first round, an already good O-line and enough cap room to solidify our o-line and improve our defense at LB and DB is tough to pass up.
