Or as @shopson67 pointed out elsewhere.....the Lakers lost to the Nuggets by 6, 5, 11 and 2 points.

That was the point of saying Lebron was out of gas. Earlier in the playoffs, with a more rested Lebron, they may well have had a different outcome. When Lebron had a chance to score at the basket to send game 4 to OT, he had very little lift when he went up.

Thunder and Wolves are in a similar boat, they probably need a year of solid playoff experience before they are ready to truly compete. The main difference is that the Wolves window is pretty short, Thunders window is open for a decade....
No it’s not a decade, not the big window anyway.

So, is AD playing tonight? All I've seen is DTD/questionable...

depending on salary cap management. With great GM work I don't see when it closes. Decade was a throw in number, but it is hard to see the end of the window.

This summer will be interesting, Presti will have to tip his hand soon.

I hope he messes it up, and as he does it somehow also messes up the Nuggets. I don't want to get better, I want everyone else to fail!

Just don't ask Darvin; he'll stand there with his hands in his pockets, a sheepish grin on his face, and simply shrug his shoulders...
Well I don’t know what else we can expect, it’s not like he checks in with Lebron every morning first thing.

Sir Robin Of Camelot

You seem angry. Miserable, even.

I’m so ready for the playoffs to start.

As soon as the Clippers are eliminated, I can really start to enjoy the games.
Hopefully you will be accommodated in 4 games… IMG_3491.gif

I have long maintained the Wolves are built in a way to make the playoff Gobert issues disappear. I think this is a good year to find out for sure.

I am confused by Kevin Young deciding to go to BYU, he was getting mention as a potential NBA HC.

Cowherd just gave his "5 Bold Predictions" for the playoffs.

1. Thunder win a max of 1 series.
2. Missed the 2nd one. It was something about the Suns.
3. Lakers come out of the play in
4. Clippers meltdown in the 1st round and Mt. Ballmer erupts.
5. Knicks get upset in 1st round.
I don't think any of those are very bold

Maybe. Not sure what to think of Thunders chances. While I do think they are about a year, maaaaybe 2 away, they did secure the #1 seed which is important for such a young team.

Also, they would avoid the Nugs or Lakers until the WCF.

While I tend to agree with Cowherd and agree with you that it's not exactly "bold" to predict a team that young doesn't win more than 1 round...the seeding has worked out more or less in their favor as long as the Lakers go in as the 7 seed.

Thunder and Wolves are in a similar boat, they probably need a year of solid playoff experience before they are ready to truly compete. The main difference is that the Wolves window is pretty short, Thunders window is open for a decade....
They are the 2011 Bulls.

Killing everyone in the regular Season.

Not quite ready to win it all

Similarly, they also deserve to have their young guy crowned MVP.

Hopefully, they won’t have their future derailed by injuries.

Yeah so what. They did the same last year in the playoff series. They play them close every game and they don't have enough. Denver is extremely good at closing out games. Murray and Jokic with the perfect role players around them.

The emergence of Naz mitigates him being played off the floor.

I just wish you had one elite shooter that wasn’t a Center.

Naz mitigates some of it, the other is at any given point the Wolves have 2 other players that can defend the paint, so it Gobert gets pulled out a bit some combination of McDaniels, Kat, and Naz makes it so the paint is not a free square like it was with the Jazz. Kat obviously being the weakest link in that group.

Ah, the competitive sweep narrative.

I don’t know if anyone here remembers…

Well, maybe @tlance

But one of the most entertaining sweeps in basketball was the Webber/Howard/Strickland Bullets/Wizards vs the Bulls.

Fantastic fucking sweep.
