Yea, I tire of the arguments (not just here, every Tom, Dick and Harry has an opinion). The issue, to me often comes in the definition of MVP. Is it best player? Is it the guy who makes his team better? Is it the flashiest? Is it the highest scorer since it was pointed out that there isn’t an offensive player of the year.

Of course like each of us, I’m prejudiced so I say it should only be the category of the guy who makes his team better. . That’s the only one of the categories that Jokic wins the MVP. But since he absolutely doesn’t care, I choose to not care either.

At least you got your title a few years later...I've always wished the Mavericks well, I like Mark Cuban as an owner, and Jason Kidd too (having been at Cal right when he was getting started there)

That’s the thing… going through 2006, 07… the Nuggets series in 09… The bummer against the Spurs in 10...

All that made 2011 so damn sweet. And getting to share that year with my grandsons made it even sweeter.

Yeah I bet you Joker could care less. The guy won the finals and was excited to go see a horse.

Players with 2 MVP's: Guys like Joker, Curry, Duncan, Nash
Players with 3 MVP's: Bird, Magic, (Moses) Malone

So there is a bit of a jump in prestige if he does pocket one more.

I honestly dont think anyone could really argue that hard either way against either him or Luka taking home the award this season. Both fantastic.

I would vote Joker though probably. You take him off the Nuggets and they arent even a playoff team. Not even a play-in team. Same would be true of Luka and the Mavs of course....but the difference between the #1 seed and the #5 seed is enough to sway me towards Joker.

Games with playoff implications tonight are the Knicks at Celtics and the pelicans at the Kings. A win by the Pelicans would pretty much secure the 6 seed for them.
