Wolves were 3-3 on 3‘s their last 3 shots before that miss at the end, if it went to OT I think Denver was in trouble..

Denver plays Minny 2 times in their final 13 games with the season series tied 1-1. Now luckily the last two games are in Denver, but those games could very well decide who ends up the higher seed when it comes down to end.

Which sounds logical that he would be looking to score more than normal in those matchups.
