Sure. Converting Rui into two smaller pieces could be an option too, since he has a reasonable contract.

But playing more games early means you play less games late. Which for a team like Denver that has very few back-to-backs the last quarter of the season, they’re gonna be a lot more rested than someone like the Clippers who still have a bunch left.

That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me for them. I can see parting with Herro but DeRozan clogs the floor further for Jimmy and Bam. A midrange assassin like DeRozan needs to be around teams that space.

Same reason I wince every time he gets mentioned for the Lakers. They've already tried to make Rui a 3 pt shooter when he's much better in the midrange.

In those games the Clippers can put PG, Leonard and Harden on 30mpg on 2nd of a back to back. They have a pretty good bench where it shouldn't hurt them too much.

Where does DeRozan fit? Warriors? They have shooters maybe DeRozan provides more paint coverage from the defense and better looks for shooters? Who else among contenders? Seems like many contenders have a guy or guys that already work the areas of the floor DeRozan works.
