Their issue is their two guards more than anything from that standpoint imo. Hart was killing you guys lol

But Okoro at the 4 will cost you boards too.
Yeah theie guards especially Garland can’t rebound or box out. I think Strus will help but Mobley needs to take a step forward. I just don’t think it is sustainable. A huge weakness

especially with JA out.

Good win. Brooklyn is a pretty decent team.

Encouraging to see Okoro shoot well in Game 1. Obviously a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go.

Gotta say - I was skeptical on Strus but 27 pts, 12 boards in game 1 is a good early sign.

Might be a good replacement for Mitchell next year

Strus can play. Not just some 3 pt specialist. I know you didn't like him because he was a heat player but he is a solid player

I just thought 4 years 63 million might be an overpay for a guy who is already 27 with a limited track record that has never been a full time starter that shot 35% from 3 last year.

they definitely were paying him for what they hoped he might become over what he previously was- which is sometimes a good way to get yourself in trouble---- but they no doubt desperately needed a shooter.

Playing with Mitchell and Garland he should get some good opportunities one would think.

I hope that Strus can handle himself defensively. I think optimally he is a 2--- at 6' 5" he might be a little undersized at the 3. Having Mobley and JA helps that of course- but being the starting 3 on this team is a lot of responsibility.

I was very impressed with his rebounding tonight- which is something they need from 3.

Also it's a one way ratchet up every year. In a couple years that number will seem reasonable

And even more when it's just Garland
