its so weird though--- without Garland and Mobley they are playing a style that can win regular season games- but I cant imagine they can win playoff series without those guys.

Bickerstaff is going to have to figure out how to integrate those guys back while elevating the level of play.....its not going to be an easy job.

just be glad I didnt mention the expensive train wreck that is the Warriors. Seems the question there going forward will be do they have time to strip it down and re-tool to give Curry another shot. Thompson/Wiggins/Draymond/Paul is a super expensive mess of declined skills.

They had their chance to keep it going but whiffed with those 2 high lotto picks- well Kuminga is not a whiff- but hes not what you need when you draft that high if you are going to keep it going.

right now- the Cavs are playing great ball- but I still think they are closer to the Knicks, Pacers, Heat than to the Celtics, Sixers, Bucks........

Mobley and Garland might be able to push them but they gotta figure it out somehow.

Wiggins with 2 more years after this year

Draymond with 3 more years after this year.

If I was GSW I would do everything I can to clear those guys out- trade them for expiring contracts if possible- even if you have to attach assets--- re-sign Klay to a reasonable deal and then go into free agency next year.

Paul is a FA after this year with 30M unguaranteed next year- so no problem there. Looney is unguaranteed next year too

If they cleared the deck of Wiggins and Draymond- the rest of the books are pretty clean beside some small stuff- GPIII on a player option of like 9M.....Moody 5 M...

they could get to some real cap room if they can get rid of Wiggins and Draymond.

The one issue is Curry takes up like 40% of the cap space by himself at like 55M next year...
