Talk about letting him grow into the coaching role is organizational negligence.

LeBron is old and possibly a FA this summer. You have this year. It is all you are guaranteed.

If the Cavs had let David Blatt grow into the coaching role, they wouldn’t have any rings today.

It doesn’t seem like the players have any trust in Ham. Need to make a change.
Sounds like a job for Fizdale

He had to deal Livers to keep Monty from playing him.

ita amazing to see Livers go from a possible steal and play reasonable D and be an effective outside shooter to arguably the worst player in the league getting more than 10 minutes a game.

he has no offensive game except 3s and he's shooting those at 28 percent (42 2 years ago) and even his free throw shooting went from 85 to 65. Of course when all you do is shoot 3s you're not going to get fouled much anyway.

But what is truly alarming is his D. And this is where Monty is showing his ass. His calling card was supposed to be to get these guys to play D...he sat Jaden for this reason and they are playing like absolute shit as a group there.

“I like your poop.”
“I like your shit.”
“Would you like to exchange dirties with me?”
“Ok sure!”

It's mostly about ridding themselves of Bagley and forcing Monty to play someone besides Livers.

the other 2 are expiring deals. They won't be Pistons next year.

But Weaver re signed Bagley and drafted Livers. So he gets an F here.

Bagley never made sense

At least livers made sense. Guys with that size and touch aren’t that common, even now in the made for tv gimmick era

I mean ya...late 2nd rounders usually don't work out. He looked good for a second and he'd still be on the roster if Monty didn't insist on giving him 25 minutes a game instead of letting him figure it out.

"hey Monty Isiah is really struggling on the 2nd unit we need to make a change'

Monty:

Let's start him!

He was excellent until he hurt his ankle.

meh

obviously I'm biased but if you wanted that position filled and you were scouting the BIG you had a better solution in Branham.

Maybe Davis had that 2 out of 100 ceiling that Branham doesn't...

I didn't see it his soph year at all.

mediocre at best 3 point shooter..people went nuts thinking maybe he can be a Josh Hart type because of his rebounding totals that he built up playing college kids.

No need to speak of that

you guys get to keep him I'd brag on that all day.

If Washington and Detroit got felonies for bad draft picks and signings they'd be looking at 25 to 30 felonies each over the last 2 decadesish

We can start with trading Billups for AI and firing Flip Saunders for Michael fucking Curry. His only head job since was FAU and he was trash...yes the same FAU that went to the final four after they fired his sorry ass.

Anywhoooo You guys are awesome we suck the end.

His numbers pre and post injury were pretty stark

and bad franchises make bad decisions when the proof is obvious. Reading on jt now his workouts were bad and obviously his jumper was not good in 2023 and that is such an issue now that he won't even shoot 3s.

So. an average athlete at SG who lost his jumper altogether lol. Who could have seen him being a bust lol

But even with him aside you flip Brad Beal for a 2024 first rounder (which is looking like 20th at best) a bunch of pick swaps with a team with Devin Booker on it and Chris Paul for Jordan Poole????!?!?

lol yikes.

The Pistons suck ass but they at least have a couple pieces teams want.

Hopefully that won't happen because it would just add to what will already be inevitable comparisons to his Dad. But I could see a playoff caliber team who thinks Lebron could get them over the hump using a late 1st round pick on Bronny to lure Lebron.
Yeah.
