In fairness to Giannis, last night wasn't just another stat-padding regular season game.

It is NOT easy to put up points against that rugged Pacers squad. It's understandable why he wants to keep that game ball forever.

No reason that it would have to be that way though. Lakers still have 2 games remaining against the Pacers, just take one off the schedule. As long as they work the schedule so that nobody plays a team from the opposite conference twice before the tourney, they can just sub the future game out.

When Phil was coaching and something like that happened, he wouldn't have put a star back in like Ham did. He'd have just let them either figure it out or learn from the loss.
