Pels should look into trading him.

Seems that happy meals mean more to him than staying in shape and on the court.
Pistons would take him in a heartbeat. He couldn’t make us worse, right?……Right?…..

It would be interesting to see what they could get for him. The ridiculous talent level is obvious and would definitely entice some teams...

but we're also talking about a guy in his 4th year who has played in 24, 61 and 29 games and who has shown no interest in getting in shape, staying healthy and putting in the work to be a great player.

Last night, Barkley said that in his rookie year, Moses Malone told him he was fat and lazy...he also said that his grandma would call him after games where he didn't get double digit rebounds and chew him out. He said those 2 things made him work harder so he could be a great player.

Shaq had a similar story.

Doesn't seem like Zion has anyone like that in his life.

Careful what you wish for. He's incredibly talented. But always injured.

It's a mystery to me why he doesn't take his conditioning more seriously.

Like I just said to logic he's so talented. And when on the court usually exciting to watch.

Not that they would but I wouldn't want the Celtics to trade for him.

Actually I think any team out there willing to trade for him should fire their GM. The Pels will rightfully want a lot in return for him. But right now he's not worth it.

Tuesday is the vote for a new arena in the OKC that would come with a lease from the Thunder through 2050. Went and voted this morning as I have to be out of town next week. Pretty interesting discussions here locally going on.

Haven't been paying attention, but my guess based on general sports knowledge is the Thunder want a ton of public funding? Yeah, those are pretty much always rip offs for the local taxpaying public. They never get money out of it and the nebulous jobs created in the renovated area either don't materialize or at the very least, cannot be determined that they were actually created because of the new arena. Like you're just throwing a ton of cash to subsidize "a job" that would have already existed or one that could have been created for faaaaaaaaaaaaar less money. Public funding for stadiums/arena really only benefit one party, the owner of the sports franchise.

Very few stadiums aren’t mostly public money now days. It’s not the Thunder making demands, it’s the City being proactive before the lease is up in a few years. The City will own and build the arena, the Thunder have agreed to a lease through 2050.

Thunder have more leverage than most though. They’re the only pro sports entity in Oklahoma. I agree on your overall premise though. A city with 3-4 major teams can play hardball a little bit. But when market just has one that’s a tough spot. They worked so hard to bring them there, they can’t risk having another city throw a taxpayer paid situation at them.

Been really interesting dialog. Those against are trying to complain that the Thunder aren’t paying enough of the bill. The Thunder are only paying like 5 percent of the bill. But the mayor is being pretty honest and open with people I think. He is flat out saying you have to remember how we got the team in the first place and he points out that other small market teams like San Antonio have built arenas with all tax payer money.

Embiid scores 17 in 1st and 0 in second?

interesting.
His off minutes are in the 2Q. He does most of his scoring in the 1st and 3rd and Maxey gets his mostly in 2Q and 4Q. It’s been kind of weird.
