The Q
Hoop’s Villain, Reality’s Hero
They should 90+ games this year
But won’t
Rose colored glasses?!?!? This can’t be seen any other way than an unmitigated victory for Morey and the Sixers.
Exactly. Not until they make the follow up
They aren’t winning dick without the follow up

The hardest part of the whole thing was the move that was already accomplished. There is no “follow up” unless they got this done. This was the real roadblock. Not until they make the follow up

What would you think if they came out of this with OG and Gary Trent? Send 3 firsts, 3 pick swaps and Tobias Harris expiring?
Maxey
Trent
OG
Batum
Embiid
Bench:
Melton, Pat Bev, Oubre, Springer, BBall Paul, RoCo, Morris.
Or (because it’s just expiring contracts anyway) instead of Harris it’s RoCo, Morris, and salary
The Thunder are giving up the least desirable of their own 26 pick, the top 4 protected Houston pick and the unprotected Clippers pick. This makes more sense. Here is some decent trade analysis. They can't use all those picks anyway, maybe that's it lol.
As of right now you aren't. You got picks that may or not be used in another trade and a bunch of filler.
I know. Mainly giving it back to him because he was insisting on getting a rotation player and he called Covington and Morris washed as well as Batum I believe. He's right in that they were able to move Harden and while this isn't the "big win" that funbagz is pimping it as, it's more than most thought they'd get, but not as much as he thought they'd get initially.
Depending on when they use them, we may not know the full success of this trade until sometime in the off-season. If nothing else, we know Morey will be patient and if he can't get what he wants by the deadline, he'll wait until the off-season.
So basically the pick swap held this deal up for monthsThe Thunder are giving up the least desirable of their own 26 pick, the top 4 protected Houston pick and the unprotected Clippers pick. This makes more sense. Here is some decent trade analysis.

Yep.That's why I gave them an incomplete fore this trade. All they have done so far is rid themselves of a headache (which isn't nothing) and get some assets that they could possibly turn into something.
What they turn those assets into will determine how successful this trade was.

At various times he wanted Mann, Powell, etc.
I know that.Mann and Powell were flip fodder though. Instead, they got the extra pick in the trade they would've netted for Mann or Powell.
I know that.
You're acting like we haven't been going back and forth all morning. That's why he wanted one of them in the trade, to net the extra first they got directly instead.
