Looking at OKC remaining schedule, they're likely going to end up with 56-58 wins in a year they were projected to win 44ish games.

If you don't give it to SGA this year then when will he ever get this award? Him repeating the same year next season while OKC goes 54-28 as a 3 seed won't get him shit. This should be his year but it won't be

D Rose won MVP over Howard and goddamn Lebron James with this stat line .

You can’t tell me that the Bulls surprisingly finishing top of the mountain didn’t play a hand in that.

Both guys have a case.

I am not a Jokic hater.

He is fantastic.

If he wins, nobody should riot.

But I would still think it was the wrong call.

You are acting like Rose/SGA are in the Nash category of stolen MVPs.

This would be more like when Joker beat Embiid.

SGA is kinda both.

Same case can be made for Joker.

It’s about preference.

To say that stats don’t back up a case being made for the kid in OKC would also be based on preference.

Preference on what stats you see as valuable.

He's not even putting up Lebron stats from 23-24. A few more shots netting a few more ppg, fewer rebounds, fewer assists, lower 3%. Better steals/blocks/TOs. Is Lebron an MVP candidate? Doesn't seem so.

All I said was his numbers are at or better than what MJ and Lebron put up in their first mvp years. The actual numbers are in another post somewhere.
