Agreed. Not a bad way to go though. Get paid for doin what you love, and keeps you fresh in case the NFL comes calling. Also not a bad way to get noticed by the NFL.

I recognize some of the names from doing mock NFL drafts too. Some underdeveloped talent lurking...

►Cardale Jones to the DC Defenders: The former Ohio State quarterback played in one NFL game for the Buffalo Bills in 2016. He's 6-5, 250

►Phillip Walker to the Houston Roughnecks: Threw 74 touchdown passes for Temple from 2013-16.

► Luis Perez to the L.A. Wildcats: Played impressively for the Birmingham Iron in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football earlier this season.

Hoping the XFL works out... the only reason I watch College is to see players that are going to be in the NFL (or have a shot). XFL would basically be the same thing. There definitely could be some guys that stay in football shape through the XFL that could go to the NFL. That said, I'm not sure the XFL will get the funding needed through advertising/TV to sustain itself. Hopefully it does.
