there is premier talent there and we are expected to watch and think he would be good in Seattle.

There is still a ton of talent on the board that the Seahawks can choose from. As of the #44th pick, there are still half a dozen guys I'd take at #37.

Think of it like this: The Seahawks need to find a bunch of cheap talent because they have to deal with Russell Wilson's cap hit, Bobby Wagner's next contract and whatever Jarran Reed will demand. The Seahawks have a bunch of holes to fill and a serious need for depth. Having more shots in the draft helps alleviate roster concerns.

Trust me I hate being the optimist; I was the first person to flip out over the selections of Ifedi and Carpenter, but I do think they're taking the right approach.
