Kind of shocked Blanton hasn't been picked up. I thought he was smoke and mirrors as a reliever in KC but he looked pretty solid in LA as well.

Agreed. He's quietly been an effective reliever.

I think the issue with Wood is that he wants to start, no? If he were open to a bullpen role he'd have been off the market a long time ago.
He should go to a team like San Diego on a 1-year deal to establish himself as a starter. The team has a craptastic rotation and a pitcher-friendly park.

Bite the bullet and establish your market...

You gotta think someone can use Napoli as a DH/1B

Moss is off the board to the Royals at 2/12. They have their DH combo it looks like between Moss and Cuthbert.

Scratch another one of the board....

Lefty reliever Boone Logan signs with the Indians

The Cleveland Indians on Thursday agreed to a contract with left-handed reliever Boone Logan, sources told ESPN, confirming multiple reports.

Logan, 32, was 2-5 with a 3.69 ERA in 66 appearances for the Colorado Rockies last season. He held left-handed batters to a .142 batting average.

Logan joins a strong Cleveland bullpen that features closer Cody Allen and star setup man Andrew Miller.

He's a DH now. He was an awful fielder, his defense was a big reason the Indians lost game 7.

Not bad, I would've preferred Blevins for the money involved.

Plus pretty sure Blevins is a local kid.

Best off season ever for any GM under strict orders to not increase payroll.
Extend my guy Moustakas and I'll be on board. Certainly not quite the debacle I was initially anticipating all things considered. Ventura dying puts shit in the potato salad of the offseason.

God, I don't know what these FO types see in him at this point. Too much scout and not enough evaluator- can't hit dingers off of groundballs.
