I thought they were going to trade up, and could have gotten Denard. When they stayed put I was hoping a team would want to trade up to grab one of the top QB's left. Could have made this same pick in the next round I think.

Here's another thing that happens EVERY year in almost EVERY round. The pick right before the 49ers pick or right after the 49ers pick is a player I really wanted. It happened AGAIN - Roby to the Broncos. It almost always happens.

It seems high for Ward. I don't hate the pick, particularly if he can play some nickel corner, but it doesn't see like the best value. We'll see. Baalke has had a pretty good eye for DBs, so hopefully he's hit on another one. I figured we were going Roby.

Purguy and Badger are going to come on here tomorrow morning and breakdown to us why Ward is the best safety, as a matter of fact, the best player in this entire draft. We got ourselves a steal in Jimmie Ward.

I like the player, and he'll fit if they move him to Corner. They were saying he covers like a corner but hits like a safety. If he can make the switch it could be a great pick up.

That isnt surprising cause you are really looking tough at the guys around our pick. So people you are used to linking to the team.
