The 2014 COWBOYS and The 2016 COWBOYS

I KNOW........2016 is barely half over, but there are some comparisons...........

2014
an offense that could play any type of game they wanted......time of possession
Statistically, Romo had the best year a COWBOY QB has ever had
69.9% C.P. ......113.2 Passer rating......83.62 QBR........247 yards passing per game
DeMarco Murray had a great year in 2014....1845 yards rushing set a COWBOY'S single season rushing record
Really great Oline..........
an iffy defense.......well coached

2016
an offense that can play any type of game.....time of possession
Prescott is having a great season for any QB....especially a rookie QB
66.8 C.P. .......106.2 Passer Rating..........82.8 QBR..........259.9 YP per game.....absolutely brilliant
Zeke is having a great year...1005 yards rushing.......111 yards rushing average per game.....and he's a rookie
maybe the best Oline in COWBOY history
and an iffy defense.....well coached

to me the difference is a little unknowns from the rookies. (Makes harder for DC's)
Zeke gets a lot more of the tough yards after contact.
Dak is willing to run for 1st downs instead of looking to throw when the opportunity arises.

QBs I would have taken either, but I will take Zeke over Murray all day every day. I will also take this O-line over then as well. Defense will be the reason we don't make it to the Superbowl. Somewhere in the Playoffs that will be exploited.

I would say Zeke's breakaway speed trumps Murray in any convo as to the better back, the rest is gravy

Murray had 1,000 yards after contact in 2014. Amazing stat IMO

I like the 2016 defense better because it has a bonafide Star on it. I also think the coverage is better with this team. Sterling Moore was pretty good until the GB game, but I would take both our 3 and 4 over him. I also like Byron Jones at one of the safeties.

Tough call. Let me ask it this way. If Church and Mo are back and healthy by week one of the playoffs which do you think is better? IMO these guys cover better...

The big difference being having a QB that I don't feel like will have a backbreaking turnover every time he drops back. It's nice to have a QB where I don't have to worry about that as much.
