That was just a terrible trade. The Browns look stupid for that now. The Giants needed a whole lot more than Zeitler and Vernon did nothing significant so that trade goes down as a big-time bust.

Cleveland has OL problems. That's why they have lost a lot of games this year. Giving away a good olineman like that weakens the most underrated aspect of a football team. Had they kept Zeitler they win a couple more games like against Seattle and Denver. This Arizona game was not why, but it decided their season. It's not easy for a home team to lose three weeks in a row.

Zeitler's absence became inevitable after missing his third straight practice on Friday. One of the return pieces in March's blockbuster Odell Beckham trade, the 29-year-old has been a bright spot for the Giants, grading as PFF's No. 9 guard this season. Nick Gates is expected to spell Zeitler at right guard Sunday against Miami. One of the top run-blockers in football, Zeitler's absence is obviously bad news for Saquon Barkley.
