Let's Go Red Wings!
DETROIT -- Detroit Red Wings forward Todd Bertuzzi was back on the ice Thursday for practice, but only the first half of it. He's still trying to get over some dizziness and a sinus infection and won't play in the next two games, Friday against Edmonton (7:30 p.m.) and Saturday vs. Dallas (7 p.m.), both at home.
Bertuzzi hasn't been the same since being hit in the face by Devin Setoguchi's stick in the Oct. 29 game at Minnesota. He played the next two games, but it kept getting worse, so he has sat out the past two.
"Dizzy and lightheaded, just got a little swelling in my ears, got to get my balance back,'' Bertuzzi said. "I just didn't feel myself. I got a sinus infection, got my ears checked, got a little swelling in there.''
He said he had no energy and was "dragging out there.''
“I wanted to come out (today) and see how my balance was, skate around with guys,'' Bertuzzi said.
He looks like he's lost some weight, but when he was asked he said, “I don't know. If I say, yeah, then it looks bad on my wife for not cooking right.''
No changes to the lines they skated with the last game:
Cleary-Datsyuk-Holmstrom
Filppula-Zetterberg-Franzen
Hudler-Helm-Abdelkader
Miller-Emmerton-Brunnstrom/Eaves
Lidstrom-White
Kronwall-Stuart
Ericsson-Kindl/Commodore

Looks like Hank is either doubtful or out tonight, he has a "middle body injury."
I hope the Wings light up HappyBoozin' like a Xmas tree...
i'm guessing lower back injury
Detroit Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg left this morning’s skate early and is questionable to play tonight against the Edmonton Oilers.
"I think he's in, but I'm not 100% sure," coach Mike Babcock said.
Babcock characterized Zetterberg's problem as "not an upper body, not a lower body. It's a middle body. How's that? I don't know if it's anything.
"If he's feeling good, he'll be playing. If he's not feeling good, he won't be playing."
Zetterberg practiced Thursday and took the ice again this morning at Joe Louis Arena, so it sounds like he might be experiencing a bug of some sort, rather than an injury. Forward Todd Bertuzzi has been battling a sinus infection for most of the week, and forward Jiri Hudler also was sick earlier, though he blamed that on food poisoning.
