Codaxx, why are you expecting a huge drop off from Seth Russell to Jarrett Stidham?

Is it just the inexperience factor? Because Russell has only started about half a dozen games in his career, it's not like he's been the #1 guy for four years. Stidham was pretty highly sought after by several schools and was considered a major haul for Baylor. He might actually be a better athlete than either Petty or Russell.

Russell had longer than 10 days or so to get ready to start. There should be a dropoff. The question is how much.

Yeah, once I found out that d00sh Oregon fan puts all our posts on twitter I figured using my real name wasn't the best idea.

He doesn't put them all on twitter, and random CFB threads have been posted on Twitter for about a year now. Chances are you were on there many times before. Just FYI

Huge difference from being in the system and practicing the offense for years before getting your shot and being on campus for months. He has huge upside, I just think like all freshman he will have a couple costly freshman moments

After TCU BEAT them like a drum, they'll be on here talking about Bob Stoops has lost it, OC sucks, DC sucks, etc...
It's called English dumb-ass. Learn it. We haven't played them yet. Last year we played like shit with turnovers galore and it still came down to the wire.

I knowed it!!!

When you throw it as much as Baylor does, you expect some INT's. Russell already had six this year, 3 of them - bafflingly - against Lamar. Stidham will very likely throw a couple, too.

For all the downfield passing, there is also a good stable of running backs and a lot of designed QB option plays. They might start off with more of that against K-State and then open it up later in the game.

K-State has looked like barf the past two weeks, so we'll see which Wildcat team shows up on 5 November. That Oklahoma game in three weeks will be a stiffer test but he will also have had more practice time by then.

Quite a gauntlet to get your feet wet against: Snyder, Stoops, Gumby, Milton Waddams, and Strong

If OU had Texas' schedule (despite RRSO of course) , they'd be 2-5.
They can get over their bullshit about having a better current record.

gotta figure out what is up with our QB's around mid-season. I don't buy the competition is jsut that much better. Two years in a row that our QB's went from making the right reads to just fluttering the ball right to the defense.
Drugs? Magic? You play rags ooc, then get to the meat of the sched, and get exposed. It's pretty simple

You'd have lost to every team to which Texas lost PLUS the Texas loss: 2-5

No. We'd beat Cal. I still say we'll beat OSU. TCU and Norte dame are possible losses. Good news is we'll find out soon enough about OSU and TCU.
