Holy Shit man.....Should we have a Ranger intervention?

This is true...I spend 21 years in Tennessee and I've never tasted moonshine. Not bragging, just stating.

No intervention needed. You are missing out, I usually don't over-do it (you wouldn't want to) but it will have you feeling pretty warm and fuzzy in no time

Two serious questions: (1) Why isn't Rios hitting more homers? His swing looks like he should be getting some lift to me anyway. (2) With the plate discipline we saw from Choo - at least in the first part of the season - doesn't he seem like a natural to use the gap-to-gap approach, rather than this pull only one?

Rios just doesn't seem to be able to drive the ball with any power and I don't know if Choo has changed his approach because of the injury or what but he doesn't seem to use all fields like you would think he could as well as he has always seen the ball

I have no track record whatsoever with Choo. But the fact teams use the shift against him tells me his approach, long before Ranger days, was strictly pulling.

He just seems like a natural to hit in the gaps. I could see him hitting .295-.315, 40 doubles +, 14-18 HR if he went with this approach.

What a fantastic hitting coach I make on 1 Aug, several beverages down.

Why not? What's he got to lose in game like this; other than perhaps developing a bad habit?

Holy crap....what channel has Jeopardy on?

I watch it often....can't necessarily always compete, but what a nice learning experience.

You want Magadan's job? Though I don't think you can drink in the dugout, but who knows maybe Mags was bringing the fried chicken and beer to the Red Sox clubhouse? You can't do any worse, even with a slight buzz

That whole Red Sox "situation" is one we should all move on from; especially Lackey.

"Slight Buzz"......does this mean I have to bring a half Busby? :suds:

Be safe young men.....see ya tomorrow

Patton so far with RR has pitched 6 1/3 innings giving up 4 hits, 0 runs, 11 Ks and0 walks. Got his first win last night. Klein said he was nervous but it was a blast and is glad to get the first one out of the way. Looking forward to seeing more of him.
