So, I guess we need the NL team with the fewest LH starters to win the NLCS.

Looks like that would be the Diamondbacks.

I don’t care if Carter doesn’t hit lefties well. He needs to be out there for his defense. There’s no way makes that play in left last night.

And there is no way Grossman would have been able to leg out a double like Carter did. And Grossman may not have scored on that hit by Heim.

Eovaldi has to be careful today with Altuve (5 home runs) and Alvarez (8-11) career against him. Those two are key anyways but they have dominated Eovaldi.

I still think the winner of game 2 wins this series. Need postseason Eovaldi today to limit Astros to 3 or fewer runs. This one today is going to be tough.

Taking Carter out for Grossman is plain stupid. Full stop. I don’t care if Grossman hits 3 home runs today. I hope he does. But it won’t change that Carter is the vastly superior defensive player and has been the spark plug that has put this team in the ALCS. You are taking one of your 2-3 hottest and most influential players out of the lineup and replacing him with a mediocre journeyman who has done nothing good since July.

This is a huge gift being given to the Astros.
