Yet more evidence that the Astros cheating went beyond trash cans and video cameras: Two videos seem to confirm José Altuve was hiding something underneath his jersey during ALCS - Golf Digest
There’s video of him with a strange object on his batting glove, stuck to him with adhesive. People are saying it looks like it could be an electronic device. He says it was just an authentication sticker.
some say it is a burner account for another MLB player. Regardless if it is niece or MLB player there is still a lot hard feelings for Astros. Not enough punishment felt per someThe Beltran Twitter account which has accused Altuve and Bregman of wearing devices under their jerseys is also the same one which tweeted Beltran had the Mets manager job and that Beltran was going to be asked to step down before those news stories even broke. It is apparently a legit inside source to Beltran, or some are saying Beltran himself.
If witnesses or cheating participants step forward with new information confirming the use of wearable electronic devices... something the Commish’s report couldn’t find evidence of... do you think that would warrant additional suspensions, fines, and punishments? I’d love to see both Altuve and Bregman get lengthy suspensions.
Yes absolutely. The integrity of the game must be upheld and protected. If witnesses or cheating participants step forward with new information confirming the use of wearable electronic devices... something the Commish’s report couldn’t find evidence of... do you think that would warrant additional suspensions, fines, and punishments? Anyone think the Rangers will sign Kevin Pillar?

Can agree to what you are saying but I can't help but wonder why more was not put on the players since they had a part in it. The signals were being relayed for their benefit so they are guilty. Problem is what do you do about it since we are talking about an entire team? Know they will hear about it from fans in every ballpark they go to and that is some sort of punishment. This is where it starts to get tough, players with vendettas for past slights, and fans being vindictive, the league has to investigate, but they need to be careful... unfortunately the court of public opinion has a much lower standard, hopefully this doesn't get out of hand where everyone is finger pointing, guilty or not, it's one thing to snitch on truly guilty people but eventually innocent people will get accused, a la the Me Too movement, any false accusations really pull focus from the real scumbags
What do we do with Choo if we sign Pillar? Between Choo and Santana someone will have their ABs affected unless Guzman is sent down but that would be at the expense of having a defensive liability at first.because they need a center fielder and would prefer to let Santana be a super utility guy.
Pillar is also only 31 and has had a lot of success.

Agree we do not need him. IKF is our utility guy and does a decent job. I prefer Santana in CF and Gallo as a back up for him if necessary. Why would they? And hopefully not

What happens if we are unlucky and not enough players get hurt and we wind up with a really good bat sitting on the bench too much? LolSantana got 450 AB last year playing multiple positions because players do and will most likely get hurt. Players also don’t play very well sometimes.
How did Santana and Pence get their 827 plate appearances in when Gallo-LF, DeShields-CF, Mazara-RF, Choo-Dh and Guzman-1B were all penciled in nice and neat on the depth chart at the beginning of the 2019 season?
Depth is important, good depth is even more important if you want to have a good team.
The cool thing about Santana being the depth is that he can literally play anywhere besides SP/C.
It seems like every year 650-800 AB come from the non starters due to injury and or performance. Having a guy who can step in anywhere instead of just 2 spots is so so valuable.
