Iowa State deserved to lose. You can't commit that many defensive penalties. Spoiled a good effort by their offense.

What I took from this game (some of this shit we know already):

1. Major Applewhite must be fired
2. Duke Thomas has no business playing D1 football
3. Our defensive players wouldn't start at any other major program, yet they can start at Texas. Shows just how fucked up this program is.
4. OU is thoroughly going to throat fuck us and that is with Ash at QB. If Derp starts, we may not score. The Belldozer may set an NCAA record for yards rushing by a QB next week.
5. Once again, did I mention MAJOR APPLEWHITE MUST BE FIRED?
6. After OU rapes the ever living shit out of us next week, Mack Brown should do the honorable thing and step down and resign.

It took a hail mary and several blown calls by the refs for tejas to eek out a win against iowa state.

Texas did a lot of things right. They did some things wrong, but they never quit.

That was the takeaway for me.

Manny Diaz's defense would start crying and stop playing once things got tougher.

The last 2 seasons, Texas defense would have quit and gotten embarrassed.

Last week versus Kansas State and this week versus Iowa State, the defense made huge stops late when things looked dicey.

Close games happen vs Bad teams.

Texas is 2-0 for the first time in 4 years in Big 12 play.

The season still has plenty of reachable goals.

Texas made it to the finish line. Those kids have good resolve and hung in there for the W. Congrats to Texas for remaining in FIRST place in the Big12. They should be favored in RRSO but probably won't. Still, they remain undefeated in Conference play. Good job Horns
