Ames will be nuts tonight, but I like the Horns to cover.

Mack is actually 8-1 vs. Iowa State
and is 4-0 in Ames.

his only loss was in 2010.

I'm a big Cyclones fan tonight.

since we won't have Mack Daddy to pick on after this season, I'll just have to enjoy every single minute of the Whorns ineptitude the rest of the year.

Ash won't be playing. It could get very interesting.

so, 31-24 Texas then

if Greg Robinson gives up 24 to Iowa State, I'd fire him on the spot.

Case is starting. That alone gives ISU a chance.

If Mack doesn't put Overstreet into Daje's role while he's injured, it could get ugly. Case has no threat of a deep pass, which is a significant loss to our offense. He can only throw the ball about 30 yards.

Should be a simple game plan.

1) Play man D with our DB's, trusting they can cover Iowa State WR's;
2) Stack the box and assign at least 1 LB to spy the QB and stop the QB run;
3) Run the ball, and throw short slant routes and RB (not WR) screen passes.

Only way we lose is if we turn the ball over, and if they decide to air it out and our DB's can't cover.

Daje is playing. I have wondered why Sanders hasnt taken some of Daje's play. I really dont get the Overstreet calls.

Yep - Daje and likley Davis playing are huge! They, especially Daje, can help a ton in the short passing game. Get them the ball in open space and let them go.

Overstreet has size, speed, and is a natural runner. I don't get why you can't see he should be on the field. If Daje isn't out there, Overstreet should be. He's a playmaker, plain and simple. Both he and Daje were our best offensive threats all summer and in camp.

He is the 4th string RB. That beat on a tired New Mexico St team. I am not sure he is faster than Gray. I highly doubt he is faster than Sanders. I find it hard to extrapolate production based on the closing minutes of a blow out vs a bad opponent. The guy seems to be a fan favorite. Heard his name as the elixir at almost every position, qb, rb, safety, and lb. He looks like an athlete, but I will wait until I see him go against someone with a pulse.
