Please no more Mark Lowe. Tonite would have been a good situation for Feldman to come in for long relief had he not had just started a few days ago

Why the hell would you have Koji warming up? This game is gone. Save the pen, use Lowe for all he's worth.

Hindsight is 20/20 and certainly pulling Dempster at the time was the right call as he was really struggling. But I think he could have closed out that inning with a lot less damage, control problems and all.

I could have closed that inning out better... pitching with my left foot.

Scheppers is just not a major league pitcher yet, at least not on a contender. His poor consistency and high batting average against should have him nowhere near our playoff roster. Tonight's performance by him was the most embarrassing for a pitcher I've seen in some time. And he topped it off by getting himself injured on a play with very little contact, after which he just laid there rolling around like he just got shot. Most guys tough out the play they're injured on and at least attempt to finish the play or at least get out of the way. Just pathetic.

And we all know Lowe has been mediocre at best for some time now.

Maybe we can pull another major comeback on them like we did in Arlington.

Report is a bruised knee. You would have thought that he blew out his ACL and MCL. What a candy ass.

1st and 2nd with no outs and Ian weakly pops out to SS and Elvis weakly grounds into a DP. This team just pisses away games.

Ok, This inning (thus far)

Kins boots an easy double play and only gets one out.
2 hit batters
2 wild pitches
I have no idea how many walks
at least 1 error
3 pitchers burned
1 pitcher hurt
8 runs scored (so far)

What did I miss?

Oh yeh, this was the inning that they told us that Josh had left the game due to "a sinus issue".

Yep. I just lost a LOT of respect for Scheppers. I realize he was probably in some pain. But a bruised knee?!?! He was acting like he just had his leg amputated. He completely quit on the play. He could have at the very least sat up and been there to catch the ball from Napoli so Trout couldn't score from 2B. I've seen hockey players continue playing with torn MCL's and basketball players play with broken noses, and Scheppers couldn't even finish out that play with a bruised knee. Weak.

No question at this time the guy cant handle pressure situations. We need to see who can stop rallys that can decide games like the one tonite. Kirkman is another one who we need to keep an eye on as well

I don't know, but Trout should have been dead in the water there. A good throw would have had him by a full second.

What's sad is that I think even a decent starting pitching performance would have won us this game. Even with Dempster struggling, we had the lead at 3-1. His inability to throw a strike forced Wash's hand. Then our worst 3 relievers just poured gasoline all over the fire and turned it into a laugher.

What's sad to me is that I looked forward to watching this game all day, now that they have crapped the bed the way that they have, I won't be able to go sleep because it has pissed me off so much.
