I picked Iowa State due to bias, but I also think people are overlooking ISU. I think some are picking Texas, because they are Texas. I think Steele Jantz is very impressive. But this is the only pick this week where I did pick it off of bias.

That would be awesome, but I don't think ISU beating Texas would make them a legit contender. I don't see ISU getting past Baylor, OU, oSu, and A&M. I am doubtful against Mizzou, but there are times I wasn't impressed with Mizzou either, so I could see an upset happen there.

I can see Iowa State beating OU for one reason

Iowa State beat Nebraska AT Nebraska two years ago

last year Iowa State beat Texas AT Texas

this year they might just add a win AT OU to the list.

but so far I see this game against Texas as a toss up then them losing to Baylor, OU, Okie Jr and A&M

I wonder how many of the 10 is serious when picking ISU to win? I seriously picked Iowa State to win a close game and I think that will happen, but I'm looking at it bias. I don't think those that have a bias towards it would pick ISU.

No more Gilbert = we're there, IMO...........Was watching the Palmer and Pollack show last week and David Pollack mentioned that he went and watched every Texas game last year and analyzed each game and said Gilbert put Texas in position to lose 7-8 games last year.

Texas has a good team and I think they are headed in the right direction. I expect them to win 7-8 games this year but a new QB, an improving but still not great running game isnt a great recipe for a road game against a decent team. Iowa State has already played at least 1 team this year thats better than anyone Texas has faced ( maybe more). To me ISU has proven much more this year so far. Texas will have the revenge factor going their way though. I think ISU wins 27-24 or something like that.

This game is a toss up IMO but in that scenario Ill always take the home team that has proven more to this point. Of course Texas could win by 20 but I seriously doubt it.

You think too highly of your Hawkeyes. Iowa is not that good this year and has beaten nobody. ISU beating an average to below average Iowa team isn't proving more than Texas. Either UCLA and BYU are pretty much on the same level as Iowa this year. I don't know what to expect from Texas next week, although pounding UCLA into oblivion when everybody picked us to lose might be a good indicator as to how we'll play against ISU. Texas should destroy the Clones, especially with Gilbert done forever.
