Willie is not going to be optioned. Would make
it easier if Gallo added at same time. Because yes hard to option DDJ for Willie

The problem with DDJ is he does not fit any where except as a bench player and we don't need him to back up Gallo if we keep Santana. Yes he has been hot lately but we have seen that before. Indeed we need to make some trades but who?

I agree wholeheartedly with you. I felt that way before the season started. I just don't know if the front office thinks like we do.

To me, Gallo is a keeper, and with his versatility and length of control Santana stays too. I would see what can be worked out with the rest and trade two of them. It would take a lot to part with Calhoun, but he isn't untouchable. Longterm, it makes the most sense to trade Choo.

Another thought. Unless IKF figures into our future as a regular catcher, we have three UIF. IKF Santana and Forsythe and so who goes? I like all three but can't keep all of them. Honestly IKF will not be our future catcher IMO.

IKF could be our backup catcher. Forsythe is a free agent at the end of the year so he probably leaves.

I am not sure Santana shouldn't be a starter on this team, maybe at 2B.
