yeah, doesn't look good. Would by our 3rd coaching transition in the secondary in 4 years... not good. TJ is a great coach and an average recruiter. We need another a good coach and a GREAT recruiter in that position as it is one of the hardest positions to recruit to at Nebraska. Hope we keep him, doubt we do, if we don't I think we'll be okay.

From the quotes I saw, I didn't get that impression at all. To me it sounded like A&M just offered him enough money that he would be dumb to turn it down...but he wants Nebraska to match it so he can stay. He's only making $245k. The old A&M D-backs coach was making over $300k. It's not like he's asking for anything entirely unreasonable.

He's not asking, he's demanding. When his only leverage is that an $EC team is throwing hotdogs down the hallway at him then it's not going to turn out like he thinks. It seldom does. I don't want him to leave but if that's all it's about is money to him, and that's it or he'll leave, then...
