Like the member name, Gnarley. I honestly don't think he's DPOY in week 5. I guess I am crazy like that. I would much rather have J.J. Watt. I bet if we took a poll of those two players, Watt would win in a landslide.

i'd choose Watt over Suggs right now based on age, but right now Suggs is playing at a higher level than Watt.

I agree crowning a DMVP at this point makes no sense but it's something to talk about. people are already crowing Peyton as MVP as well and i think that's ridiculous as well.

He's not playing at a higher level than Watt. Watt has also faced much stiffer competition. Anyway, I could argue it all day but in the end, it's me arguing with 2 Raven fans about one of their best players...even if he did star as Sloth in the movie Ghoonies.

Difference between saying Peyton is MVP and Suggs being DPOY is it isn't even debatable who has had the best season for MVP this year. Peyton is putting up historical numbers every week that have never been done before in the history of the game. It is easy to see he should be talked about as the MVP. Suggs on the other hand depending who you are could be anywhere from best defensive player so far to maybe not even top 10 for some. There is a lot more wiggle room in that debate.

Not saying that...I saw that you put in the Title "Calling it Now" so this is a future prediction not a "Hey Suggs is the best defensive player right now" kind of thread. That is fine by me that you make this kind of prediction. He is a good player that is playing well so I can understand why you would say this.

I was just commenting towards you or whoever was saying "Well they are already calling Peyton the MVP." At least right now it would take a major collapse by Peyton and some amazing play by another player to unseat him for MVP. Not saying it can't happen but he has just had one of those kind of seasons.
