It took Ben a long time to get to where he is today. I wonder if he would had been playing this well all of those yrs with the shitty O-line. Back in the day I remember Ben only threw the ball an average of like 9 times a game.

Roethlisberger is a pretty darned good QB. No doubt about it. But one of the big reasons he is so good has been because he's so big he's really hard to bring down. I'm not sure being "big" is a skill. I certainly wouldn't put him #2 in the league. Probably top 5-8 though depending on how you're grading it.

I wouldn't put him top 2 either, but in terms of QBs I would take over Ben...2, Rodgers and maybe Luck because he much younger.

I think Ben is pretty nimble for a big guy...he goes down on flush contact like any other QB, but he's able to create more glancing blow type hits with his feet in the pocket and he can shake a few of those off...what separates Ben from other QBs imo is his ability to extend plays.
