This is good news! I switched to dish because I can't get BTN around here on cable and was starting to sweat the Missus finding out we still weren't going to get the game. :argue:
It is going to cost me $40 more a month the first 12 months and then even more after that. I couldn't get Versus either locally

I sent BTN an email earlier asking them if the game would be televised and howmuch I had been looking forward to our gammes being on BTN now. Contact Us - Big Ten Network

No answer back yet. but they did say not all emails would be answered.

Maybe we need to start an email campaign to show them what a pain in the ass us Huskers are if we can't watch our football, and how many viewers they get if we can.

I have Americas everything package through dish. It shows in my package that I should get the btn but I don't as of yet.
Come Sept 1 if I still don't have the channel, I'm going to flip out.

Here is a copy of the email that the BTN sent me with the information regarding Time Warner Cable:

Thanks for the email. BTN will be available on Time Warner Cable’s standard service tier for customers in Nebraska beginning Aug. 23. Every Husker regular season football game will be available live on Time Warner Cable during the team’s inaugural season in the Big Ten Conference. Thereby, if you are a Time Warner Cable subscriber and live in Nebraska, the Huskers’ Sept. 3 and Sept. 10 games will be available to you.

Starting Aug. 23, BTN will be available on channel 24. BTN is currently available to digital customers on channel 333 and in HD on channel 1333, and will remain on those channels going forward. In addition to the primary network feed, two extra football game channels will also be available. BTN Extra 1 will air on 1334 and BTN Extra 2 will air on 1335. These channels are primarily used during football season when games air simultaneously to ensure all conference games are available to customers in their entirety.

The BTN has already released its non-conference football schedule for the month of September and its prime time games through October. The remaining games have yet to be assigned to one of the Big Ten Conference's television partners, which include BTN, ABC and the ESPN family of networks. As in years past, the remaining football schedule will be announced 6-12 days prior to each football Saturday.

You may consult our Game Finder feature at Big Ten Network Gamefinder each week during the football season for local channel information for all BTN football broadcasts.

I'm trying to tell all these guys they will see the Huskers on BTN in Nebraska.....outside of Nebraska, the only for sure way I know of is DirecTV....Dish may also work, but local cable companies outside of Nebraska is doubtful because they will only show the main BTN feed game, and not all the alternates....

Outside of the B1G foot print you need to buy the multi-sports package on Dish. This carries the main feed and all four extra chhannels. This costs $7 a month. Not a whole lot of money to get every channel.

On DirecTV it is part of the package for all but their lowest package, but you only get 2 extra channels.

My local cable providers here both (Charter and and independent) neither offer BTN in any form so I chose Dish and just got it hooked up.

The satelites picture is far superior to my cable providers even in standard definition. Watching football in HD blew me away. I love it.

And last don't forget BTN2go. Even if your subscriber doesn't have the extra channel it will be on here. I watched a couple games on Jisney3 last year by hooking my laptop to the pc connector on my tv and the headset to a audio in on my a/v receiver. It worked quite well (don't forget to turn off your screensaver) so I imaagine as a last resort this BTN2go will work just as well if not better.

I watched BTN for the first time yeterday (Nebraska preview). I am hyped and ready to watch some Husker football.
