As if it isn't completely obvious that the Defenses Taylor faced were better than those that Tommy faced.

I am riding Tommy's balls just the same as the rest of you.....it's just that some of you are getting a little too close to his taint, and so I need to reel ye back in with reality before ye get covered in shit

Tommy (or Tommy and Ron) are more efficient (17th and 11th) against common opponents than Taylor (24th and 25th).

Taylor folded like a cheap lawn chair against UCLA. We'll never know how Tommy (or Tommy and Ron) would have handled the second half of that game.

Maybe Tommy would have completed all those jump passes down the sideline, but he would have been all over Sportscenter if he had.......cuz those are low percentage plays thar

Becks offense is extremely limited with Taylor in there when defenses are taking away the only two things Taylor can do well.

1. Short 1-10 yd passes between the hash marks (not rolling left).
2. Occasional Big runs (with 6 ft wide running lanes).

Take those two things away and Beck has no option but to call things Taylor's no good at. He's got to hope for a little luck in areas that a defense isn't paying as much attention to.

I do agree with that overall assessment......

It's just that UCLA literally made no adjustments in the 2nd half of that game..........and they literally took nothing away.....

There was no need for us to throw those jump balls. I still have nightmares of it. It was the epitome of an Offensive Unit completely shitting the bed.

It is easy to sit here and say UCLA made adjustments and we didn't.......it's also easy for Mora to say that too, cuz it makes him look like a genius....

But watch that game back. The only thing that happened in the 2nd half is we completely abandoned our gameplan.
