This could be overkill but here me out. Gruden had two good TE's in Cincy which were on the field at the same time. He could grab him if he is available. He is a good insurance policy if Reed gets hurt and he is a great receiving TE. I would rather draft him than a WR at #34. With the 3rd round pick we could go with a OT or Guard.

2nd Amaro
3rd. Brandon Thomas OG\OT

I wouldn't mind it.

But the more logical thing to do this to take Moses at #34. This is just another way to look at it.

I like this for our mock draft...but for our actual draft in May, Logan Paulsen has been surprisingly elusive. He finds the soft spots and can block. He doesn't tip off run or pass, which I think Niles Paul on occasion had a problem with, due to his poor blocking. However, I never...NEVER thought Reed would have the impact he did as a rookie so, if a TE appears to be the BPA...so be it

Amaro would be the BPA at #34. I doubt he is there but you never know. I think Gruden will be going crazy if he is there. 3rd to 4th round tackle prospects: Dozier, Botino, or Richardson. Or a Amaro and Koujo draft could be enticing.

Reed is plenty good enough if he can stay healthy and he can split out in certain situations as well. Paulsen is serviceable.

I would dislike a TE at that pick almost as much as a RB. We need to build in the trenches and in the secondary ... TE is just too low on the list IMO .... unless Ebron slips to #34 :laugh3:

gruden has a history of using his 2nd tight end more than his 3rd receiver so drafting amaro wouldnt be that surprising. id love ebron instead but he wont fall to us. i think we will draft yankey, filo or moses at 34. tuitt is still a possibility.

IF gruden wants weapons it will be tough to pass on Amaro.

We have weapons. We need secondary and OL. A second pass catching TE is a luxury we really can't afford this year, at least not with the first pick. See if you can't find one in later rounds, but go BPA at S, CB, OL, or ILB with 34.

Actually TE2 is a need. Amaro would be the BPA on the board at #34. Obviously Morgan Moses is the target but if he is gone, do we go Jimmy Ward or Tuitt or Hageman. There are so many possibilities.

I guess that is just a matter of opinion. IMO, we have enough weapons for Griffin. In fact, we may have an issue getting enough touches for all. Just because Gruden employed a 2 TE set in Cincy doesn't mean he is wed to it. He has already stated that he believes in tailoring the offense to the talent he has. The least of his issues is that he doesn't have a 2nd TE threat.

His biggest issue at this point is fielding a defense that can limit the scoring of the opponent. We are going to score some points. We just have to stop, or at least slow down, the other team. His second issue is OL, but it pales in comparison to the question marks on the secondary and ILB corps. Having said that, if a stud OL falls to us at 34 and he is BPA, you take him. We need an impact player and a day 1 starter from that pick.

if TE is the BPA at 34 and we cant trade down then we make the pick

the pick at 34 needs to be a starter for sure but asking him to be a day one starter is asking a lot

not saying it cant happen but that isnt my expectation for a 2nd rounder
