Iowa State is a pretty decent team. Does TCU still beat them with their backup?

Zero tolerance? Patterson? Maybe you have him confused with a tough coach that doesnt take crap, but he's not that guy.
Paschall is suspended, but will be suited up to play this saturday. He may not play, but he'll be READY to play. Patterson isn't nearly as tough as you'd like to believe he is.
You should really stick to talking about things you have knowledge of. Like, did you have any idea there were 7 football players kicked off the team during the drug bust that weren't arrested, or even investigated? That's why 13 freshmen are starting. Did you know that three players went out to a club in Cal before the Rose Bowl two years ago (one of which was a starter) and all three were put on the first plane back to Fort Worth? Probably not. Patterson has always done what had to be done.
When's the last time Mac sent a starter packing, much less multiple players? Or maybe that sort of thing never happens at UT, because we all know that no one in Austin has ever smoked pot.
I would also ask you how many top 15 teams would even consider kicking their starting QB off the team for a DWI, even before a conviction is rendered, or after for that matter? And remember that that QB had the highest efficiency rating in college football before this past weekend when he played a game in a monsoon.
And this is on a team that has fought for a place at the "big boys table" for years, and now that they have it, most of the big boys are just waiting for a chance to say, "look, I knew they weren’t really any good the past X# years when they continually kicked everyone’s ass they played". At least that's what we were told before now.
The fact that he hasn't completely kicked him off the team by now tells me that Patterson is getting external pressure to keep him. I’m would bet that some people who contributed very large sums of cash ($10M to $20M each) to pay for the stadium remodel might think think that starting 13 freshmen due to kicking players off the team (as well as some to graduation) is too much to overcome in TCU’s first year in the Big 12 if the starting QB is kicked off as well. I still expect him to be kicked off for good fairly soon though.
