C. Sims should not see the field this year unless of injury. Sorry skinsdad says its possible he could get cut. you said he was on the bubble. The guy is going to be playing on the money down which is 3rd down this year.

Humphries could get cut. That is what the bubble means.

So the money down in other years is not third down?

I agree that Samuel is more versatile, which means he can do more things…redundant.

I agree Samuel is a better all around player.

Statistically, Samuel’s best position is the slot.

Flex is not a position. I think you are being redundant again.

Yes…Humphries will be off the field for some 3rd and 6.

Who is the better slot…if you can choose one…Samuel or Humphries? You still haven’t had the balls to answer that.

Right now Humphries. There is no way Humphries is off the field on 3rd downs. Samuel should be on the field too. Those will be the 3 Wr's on 3rd down IMO.

How is the guy on the bubble if he is the 2nd best route runner on the team? Doesnt make sense to me.

Its very possible Humphries can do what he did in 2018 with Fitz for us this year. I dont see how C. Sims fits in this offense other than injury or fade route in the end zone.

Playing from the slot last season, Samuel caught 45 out of 56 targets. He caught 14 from the outside and 8 out of the backfield.

Now, that doesn’t account for 10 more of his receptions. Notice how his production jumped from 2019 to 2020 and notice where he did his damage last season…the slot. Now tell me again how Humphries is better.

No doubt he can play slot. Not arguing that. But why take both of them off the field on 3rd down? Look at Humphries 2018 season WITH Fitz. Very possible that Samuel could line up in the backfield on 3rd down this year. Put it this way, there is no way I want C. Sims on the field with these 4 guys that we have.

Because there is more to being a WR than simply running routes.

actually other than good hands it is the most important thing. especially for undersized guys. Humphries should be the 3rd option on clutch 3rd downs after tmac and Thomas. I think he sees alot of targets this year. I agree with J.p. Finley.

Is it? What makes you believe it is “very possible?”

Don’t you mean what he did with Winston/Fitz? 20 receptions for 256 yards is what Humphries got from Fitzpatrick in 2018. One of those games, Humphries had 8 catches for 82 yards. The rest came from Winston.

You make it seem like there is some big connection between Fitz and Humphries. There isn’t. Humphries has done nothing the last two seasons with his individual per play statistics going down each year. Is it possible Humphries has a resurgence? Sure. It is highly unlikely.

Well…you would be wrong. Speed and quickness are more important.

How many third down receptions do you think he has? Good lord.

Because the team is better with a different line up.

I think you need to look back at 2018 and get the facts. Or you can look at my other post for the facts.

So you want Samuel as the third down back instead of JD?

You let your bias against one guy cloud your mind.

I would be shocked if he gets 600 yards because I am unsure of his opportunities. I am hoping for plenty of red zone work for him though. 7 TDS would be nice.

some pundits info

NBC Sports Washington's J.P. Finlay believes Washington WR Adam Humphries could see "around 60" targets this year.

"Expect Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel to have more than 100 targets each, and don’t sleep on Adam Humphries getting around 60 looks too," Finlay writes. He also predicts that J.D. McKissic's 110 targets from last year "will fall, probably by about 20 percent and perhaps more" given the change in approach from Alex Smith to Ryan Fitzpatrick. If anything, it's clear that Humphries, 28, has a leg up on the competition as Washington's No. 3 receiver to open the season.

What is the fascination with AGG?
Sometimes a guy is so behind he needs a change of team. Cam was forced into playing time and did decently. AGG was given playing time and flopped. Harmon, sadly got behind the 8 ball due to injury.
Humpries is a model citizen but his production continues to drop every year.
If we can cut Adrian Peterson, we can cut anyone. I'd love to see Milne get thrown to the wolves
