Just because someone says he won't make it past the first cut or see a snap doesn't mean they want that to be the case. It's called looking at things realistically and voicing your opinion.

Personally I couldn't give 2 shits what happens to the guy. He is no longer at Nebraska, he didn't go to my favorite NFL team, and he won't be on my fantasy football team. So if he succeeds, great for him. If he doesn't, ok. It makes no difference to me.

The likeliness of Foles staying healthy all season runing Chips offense is about 0%, so I wouldn't count out Lopez with all certainty of never taking a snap at QB, I know that's not the Eagles intention for him yeah yeah

Foles only missed 1 game after becoming the starter last year. Even if e does get hurt, Barkley and Sanchez are the backups.

Well I see it differently.

Anyone who played for Nebraska is always going to be a part of the Husker family.......and I love my family.

I would hope to God if 10,000 Husker fans were polled and asked whether or not they would rather see Taylor do well than see him fall face first at least 9,999 of them would have some sort of a heart.

Hey, I hope he does well in whatever he chooses to do. I hope that for everyone anywhere.

I hope a lot of people achieve their dreams. But guess what? Sometimes your dres are stupid and unattainable.

Not saying it will happen, but we'd be naive to think Kelly won't have a trick play or special scheme involving Taylor in the event Foles needs to have a time out or whatever the situation calls for it. Kelly was involved in recruiting Tito back in his HS days if I'm not mistaken, as a safety albeit. We know how well Sanchez runs, right up some dudes ass, but there's no question they all throw a better ball than TM jmo

I wish him the best. Maybe he'll make millions and sends a little back to Lincoln. Remember Suh and the iPads? Hell maybe Tito will make it big and send us our own QB coach.

Kelly doesn't have the QB run the ball like he would at Oregon. When you have McCoy, now Sproles, Maklin, Ertz, Celek, and many others then you don't need to run some gimmick trick play when Foles needs a timeout. You either call a timeout or you send in Barkley or Sanchez to hand the ball off to McCoy. Plus, this is the NFL, real starting QBs don't "need a timeout".

Dreams are only unattainable for people who aren't mentally able to handle the work that is required to attain it.

I could have got a 50 inch vertical and played in the NBA if I would have put the work in.

My view on life is simple. Anything that one man can or has done, any other man (who isn't ill) can do. People aren't made differently......they're just brought up differently.

Try not taking the term time out so personal, many reasons why a QB would get "sat down", Kelly would never run a gimmick play right. No secret running QB's don't last long in the NFL, that's all I'm saying

There are many different directions I could take this but I will stick to the athletic side.

So do you believe that people are born with athletic ability or is athletic ability created?

Absolutely nobody is born with athleticism.

I have seen so many situations where two very athletic parents end up making a child who can't even kick a soccer ball without falling on their ass.

I've got a friend who is the white version of Lebron James, but hand him a baseball bat or a golf club and tell him to hit a ball offa tee and suddenly he looks like a monkey trying to assemble a swing set.

People get good at what they're good at by repetition and building confidence. Usually it's repetition at an early age as the younger you start the easier it is to battle through all the mental shit.

People being "born with athleticism" was an excuse made long ago by people who were too lazy and unmotivated to be athletic themselves.

the only fault that i see with your logic is that taylor has to prove he deserves to be on the roster in the first place. No coach is gonna leave a kid on the roster for a couple trick plays throughout the thousands of plays in the season…and if that coach did he had better be fired pretty damn quick by any smart GM. IF taylor proves he can stick as a #4 safety/decent special teams player, then sure, chip might draw up some sneaky ones. But if taylor looks lost at QB/WR/S and chip decides to keep him on the roster so he can run 3 wildcat plays with taylor back there during the season, he should get fired pretty damn fast.

i have to fully and completely disagree with you. training and practice only serve to refine a natural ability that someone is born with. granted some people can make up for their lack of athleticism with technique and fundamentals, but 5-5 Earl Boykins was just never going to be able to physically dunk the basketball no matter how hard he trained
