Dolphins are giving QB Ryan Tanehill a six-year, $96 million extension that includes $45 million guaranteed, per league source.

1st QB from the tannehill, wilson, RG3, Luck draft. If tannehill gets 16 mil per year and 45 mil guaranteed I wonder what Luck and wilson will get.

Time for him to win a SB now, with that roster. Or at least compete for a SB.

Seems fair he's solidly in the Andy Dalton/Alex Smith/Stafford Bracket

I wonder what this does for the luck and wilson negotiations. The colts were on record that they are going to make him a very rich man probably in the 20+ mil range but this complicates things for wilson. Wilson puts up tannerhill numbers but has aaron rodgers success. so wilson wants to be paid like a 20mil a year QB but put up numbers like a 16mil a year QB

Seriously? With that roster I'll be shocked if they make the playoffs.

they basically have the same roster as last season going 8-8 then added suh, cameron, and devonte parker why would you be shocked that they would make the playoffs? 2 of their games last season they lost by a field goal

Good for him.

Guessing Wilson's payday just kicked up another notch.

Luck is going to get paid, will get what he wants, no problem.

Could this be the year for the Dolphins? Assuming Brady doesn't get his suspension lifted?

Maybe, but most of us will have to see it, before we believe it.

They had to cut some guys to pay Suh all that money. Some will argue that they weren't that important but we'll see. They also won a couple of games that they probably shouldn't have won. That door swings both way. And that's kind of what they do, beat a few teams they shouldn't, lose to a few they have no business losing to. At the end of the day what I've seen out of the Dolphins for years is that they are more concerned with selling tickets than winning championships. Paying Suh QB money might tell you they are all in, it tells me they want their stadium full. I just feel they are still mediocre.

This averages out to about 15.5 million a year, and far far far less in guaranteed money. The people callings this a bad signing obviously don't know the going no rate for a starting QB in the league. This was a very smart move by the Dolphins.

Check this article out Harold, all three of those teams are in it, and the last one is your boys...

Eight NFL teams that will take a step back in 2015

This year is no different. The team’s best offensive lineman last year, center Max Unger, was shipped off to New Orleans in the Jimmy Graham trade. In response to what the Seahawks will do to make up for the loss, head coach Pete Carroll had this to say, courtesy of The Seattle Times:

“We’ve got depth, and we’ve got guys that we know can play,’’ Carroll said after the trade of Unger. “We played a lot of games with these guys last year, so we’ll look forward to everybody contributing.”

In case you aren’t fluent in coach-speak, Carroll is saying, “we’re screwed.”

No. Actually, what he is saying is there is a lot of starting experience with the center depth because Unger was always hurt.

Posters that aren't Seahawks fans just don't get Unger just was a no show for to long. It was like a miracle the Saints took him off their hands. If he suddenly finds a way to stay of the field, he'll be great, but don't bank on it.

4yrs/$77 mil with $23 mil in new guarantees.

That's not that big of a deal if you include his 2 existing contract years. It puts him short of $16 mill AAV.
