Congrats to the Sabres! They are currently in "first place" in the Connor McDavid sweepstakes. Here is how the tank standings are:

1. Buffalo
2. Edmonton (2 pts behind)
3. Arizona (4 pts behind)
4. Carolina (4 pts behind)

After the Sabres went on a substantial winning streak and looked competent for a few weeks, word was sent from above to knock it off, and they are back to losing every game they play in hilarious fashion. Hope it's worth it...

Wow, what a night! All four tanking turds are playing! Buffalo can really put some distance on the rest here. Edmonton has the easiest matchup, followed by Arizona. Both could conceivably get a point. Buffalo and Carolina are almost guaranteed losses. My predictions:

Buffalo - 0 pts
Carolina - 0 pts
Edmonton - 0 pts
Arizona - 1 pt

Well, I nailed it except Carolina ridiculously getting a win and almost guaranteeing they are out of the hunt.

Great day for the Sabres. Oilers mean business though.

Wow. You have to be impressed at the new standings:

1. BUF
2. EDM -6 points
3. CAR - 9 points
4. AZ - 11 points

After being the turdiest team last year, who would have thought they'd trump that this year?!

Okay, is Tank Watch getting exciting or what?! After seemingly pulling away from everyone, the Sabres went on a two-game win streak, which is enough to make it a race again! Oilers and Arizona are both within striking distance. Arizona has traded away anyone decent so look out for them.

Sabres weren't to be outdone, and countered by unloading their second quality goaltender. They have now guaranteed themselves whoever is the netminder will suck. I think Connor McDavid still ends up wearing the Blue and Gold. Go Buffalo!

Tank watch is getting hilarious and tense:

1) The Sabres continue to be dumbfounded by how good each goalie that get performs. Enroth was fantastic, then Neuvirth, and now Lindberg has been excellent. Management must be fuming he's been standing on his head and almost single-handedly grabbing unproductive wins and points for them. Look for them to dip into the minors to start a few guys VERY soon

2) Two big games with Arizona coming up. Could decide the McDavid sweepstakes. While there is no reason to watch any of the 82 Sabres games this season, you could make an argument these two games might be worth a quick viewing for comedic purposes.
