Rich Tandler's 2015 Roster Predictions

he mentions a few things here that are legit and his roster will change as it should

the take away here is he see Rg3 as being better , more decisive , quicker with his reads . that bodes well for us and him . good to hear that

I agree with the top three safeties. I think we should keep 5 safeties. Thomas, Davis, and Robinson should have a huge battle for two spots. The rookie should be signed to the practice squad.

i think thomas is cut and the rookie makes it because he is better on special teams . Just my opinion subject to change when the pads go on

IF we are just looking at special teams for safeties #4 and #5 then Davis and Robinson should have the inside track. Its very possible that Thomas could get cut but he is raw and has upside. The safe bet is to keep Davis and Robinson. The injury factor will loom large here.

davis and robinson have played for a special teams that was among the worst in the nfl . i would hardly call that any kind of "inside track " davis is in year 3 , robinson is in year 4 . upside and potential re words that dont need to be used . production is the word that does

thomas is in year 3 and cant stay healthy nor can he play the defense he is supposed to play . upside is a term that is running low in his case

now perhaps jarret bombs , and in that case you would have an answer

Forbath has a lot to do with our special teams problems. I would take a vet over a rookie any day when its comes to special teams. Jarret is the only one who is practice squad eligible. So if he is not contributing at safety which he wont why would you waste a roster spot on him? There is no way he is a better special teams player as a rookie than Robinson and Davis. I know we haven't opened camp yet but its highly doubtful that he is.

forbath doesnt block or tackle . the others do . and from what the coaches are saying he is contributing at safety . but i digress exactly what did robinson and davis do at safety last season ? not a whole lot

forbath puts our kickoff coverage in huge binds b/c he kicks low and can not get touchbacks. That matters dad. Jarret was a draft pick so that might get him ahead of the other guys but I just think its stupid b/c he is PS eligible. Besides the QB battle if the coaches allow it to be a battle, safety is the most exciting battle in training camp IMO.

true but Forbath cant get any hang time on his kickoffs and he cant kick into the end zone consistently like other kickers. I really think we have one of the worst kickers in the league.

well guys like davis and robinson were guys who didnt perform like THEY should . how many times did they get out of their lanes .? how many tackles did they miss ? how many block did the fail to make

those guys are career special teamers , who failed when given the chance to play on defense and are cast offs from other teams . jarret is a draft pick who can return kicks and punts and has a reputation, as he showed in practice, he excels on special teams

he may not clear waivers to make the PS and if he does any team can pick him up if they are willing to put him on their 53

if he earns the spot on the roster they should keep him on the active roster but he has to earn it
